Anita is a better footballer than everyone on the pitch. He came from Ajax. Frank de Boer says he'll run and run. If you don't like Anita, you don't like football.
I think by that he means attacking players.
Hazard has always struck me as a winger. It's where he starts off and where he spends most of his time. He gets the free role time to time but he's mostly on the wing. That's where he was for Belgium in the WC, too.
He's one of my favorite players to watch, mind. He glides by defenders with ease but he needs to shoot more. You see Ronaldo do the same thing and then blast it in the top corner from wherever he is on the park. Hazard, however, takes an extra touch or stops dead. He can be quite frustrating in that sense.
Great post, GC.
Love the EC, me. Of all the trophies I'd want Newcastle to win, it's that one.
If Everton and Tottenham are serious about the CL, they need to be winning this trophy. You look back to the 90s/2000s and Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal either won or got to the final. They then went to have success in the CL in the following years. Success is addictive. The more you win, the more you want more.
I hope Spurs or Everton can win it but unfortunately I can see Villareal or Sevilla winning. La Liga are just too strong.
Call me a reactionary, but a nice, single-arm-aloft Shearer celebration is less likely to make you look like a front bottom, regardless of how many goals you score.
Ally McCoist scored lots of goals - see if you can find any details of the 'Ally Shuffle' celebration. There is no excuse for that.
It's football, man. These types of characters are what keep the game interesting. If everyone did the same thing, it'd be boring.
Sturridge seems like a confidence player. Some players gain confidence in different ways. This is his way. I have no problem with it.
Berahino, 21 - 10 Goals
Kane, 21 - 13 Goals
Austin 25 - 13 Goals
Ings, 22 - 9 Goals
All four in the top 10 top scorers right now. With a decent midfield and manager, England could do some damage.
