100% improvement from the Mallorca, H Berlin and Doncaster matches. Some great passing, good start and a decent match. Gutierrez looks decent and will only improve within the next couple of months, Milner was very good and Guthrie looked perfect. Not too sure about Nicky Butt, looks past it but hopefully he does some decent performances for us this season. Smith love it if he leaves us, love it! Given - 8. some good saves, good kicking and done nothing bad Beye - 7. looked pretty comfortable Taylor - 7. got m.o.t.m in the ground, didnt look the best player like but yina, good goal and looked steady Cacapa - 6. was to blame for their second goal, he jumps far too early. Enrique - 6. nothing much to do, average performance Gutierrez - 8. played well, some good little runs and some excellent through balls/crosses, got stuck in aswell Guthrie - 9. my m.o.t.m tbh, done everything right and took his goal well Butt - 5. average and looks past it Duff - 7. was excellent first half, good runs/passes. second half he was ok but he must be lacking fitness or something Geremi - 6. didnt look too good, was a little bit slow Milner - 8. considering he was playing like a centre forward-ish role for most of the match, he did very well. won a few headers and put himself about bassong - 6. nothing to do donaldson - 6. nothing much to do edgar -5. looked poor any more subs? happy with the performance tbh.

Voted 2 Coloccini will make our defence sorted (first team defence), but we will need a LB as cover. So that would make our defence: beye coloccini faye enrique edgar/taylor/cacapa/bassong/NEW LB for cover. and i will be happy with that tbh. Midfield is a tough one, if we were to sign only 2 players, would Keegan opt for a defensive or a attacking midfielder? i think we need a attacking tbh, used to think we needed a dm but Guthrie, Butt, Geremi could play there (easily good enough for a club like us). With a new am, we would be a strong side. Definitly would need to be a good quality player so he starts every week. midfield could be like: guthrie gutierrez n'zogbia NEW AM geremi/butt/milner/duff/barton as cover, some great players there to be sitting on a bench. We are sorted for strikers, unless we ship out Carroll, Smith or Shola. I would love to see us sell either of those, if we did then imo we would need a new big striker to replace Viduka.

Looking forward to having about 15,000 there Hopefully Beye, Faye, Owen, Martins, Given, Gutierrez, N'Zogbia will feature at some point. Im sure this will give our squad a massive boost. Faye, Beye and a new defender (Coloccini?) will make us stronger at the back, 2 of Taylor Bassong and Cacapa as back-up, Edgar cant be back-up, needs to go out on loan to improve (to a championship side) N'Zogbia Butt Gutierrez and eventually Barton will help our midfield especially for back-up but we need a new defensive midfielder Martins Owen Viduka will make every bit of difference. Smith and Shola are s**** back-ups, we need to sell those 2 and bring in someone else, unless Carroll performs half decent. So if you think of our squad for next season, we will be half decent tbh, just need 2 or 3 more additions and i will be happy. If we sell Smith i will show my little white arse in fenwicks window.
