So you think that we will have just 2 players on the bench?
-
Bassong should be left centre back. Why? I think he's had two good solid games in a row now, it'd be uneeded to drop him when he's finally finding his feet. Bassong is much better in CB, imo. Personally I dont think we should change the back 4 at all. Taylor has been solid for the last two games as has Bassong and Jose, whereas Colo has been a bit dodgey but dropping him would only make things worse, imo. He's still one of the best players we have. With Evertons depleted squad I will fairly disappointed if we dont take all 3 points on Sunday, especially with having Martins and Jonas back.

JONAS Gutierrez has won the Carling Player of the Month award for January after landing more than half of the votes cast by Newcastle United fans. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1561111,00.html

70min - NEWCASTLE GOAL (0-1): Reserve-team debutant Haris Vukcic, a January arrival from Slovenia, slots low past Andreas Arestidou from the edge of the area to give United the lead.

It was his match nr. 56 against Inter today according to the Norwegian commentator......

Yobo is fit but won't fill in for Hibbert. Very good centre half but he's one of the worst I've seen when played at right back. If we have enough midfielders available (which is a big "if") then Neville will go to right back. Who is "maybe" for Everton?
-
What happens if Cahill gets another yellow today? Will he be suspended against Bolton in the midweek then?
-
Hibbert got a yellow card so he should be out against us.
-
Eto'o again and it's 2-2.
-
Eto'o scored just before HT, so i think this will be a very interesting second half.

The Latest reports out of Buenos Aires is that English club Newcastle United have made contact with Juan Román Riquelme, Boca's powerful playmaker, about a possible transfer in the summer. Newcastle United find themselves in 13th position in the English Premier League, just 4 points off the drop zone. It has been said from the start of the season Newcastle lack creativity, with for instance the ageing Nicky Butt not getting any younger. Riquelme is seen as an ideal partner in central midfield given that Danny Guthrie, another young starlet at Newcastle, is ready to step up and take Butt's position in the starting line up. The question has to be asked does Riquelme want another crack at Europe? He had a torrid time at Barcelona, but did remarkably well at Villarreal by getting them into the Champions League twice. Following a tense situation between him and Villarreal's director general and club manager Manuel Pellegrini though, Riquelme accepted a five month loan deal back to his beloved Boca Juniors in February 2007, and that is where he still remains. Boca won’t want to lose their star man, but a fee of around €12 million euros has been mentioned as sufficient to prise Riquelme away from La Bombonera. We will have to wait and see what happens in the next few months, but many would like to see the great Riquelme have one last crack at Europe with a big club. http://www.southamericanfootball.co.uk/files/articles.php?article_id=213

Xisco! 77min - NEWCASTLE GOAL (3-0) Ryan Donaldson surges forward from deep before slipping in XISCO who rolls past Williams for his first goal since his senior debut strike against Hull in September.

Barcelona 2-0. Eto'o again.

Come down, we will have a few new injurys before the Everton game.
-
It wasn't necessarily an ill-tempered match, however Bolton picked up five bookings, which included that of captain Kevin Nolan, who will now sit out the clashes against Arsenal and Manchester United in the next fortnight. http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,1004~46926,00.html

Duff should play after his great performance today.

I'm not 100% sure, but from what i have checked, Lescott, Neville, Hibbert, Arteta and Cahill have all 4 yellow cards and will be suspended against us if they receive a yellow card against Aston Villa.
