See, now this shit has me thinking things like "Maybe he would stay with us even if we go down, make sure we come back up, and make us stable and decent." The kind of unreasonable shit hope makes you think. Fuck off, hope.
I've got to think that even though he has the exit plan if we don't stay up, he sees enough in the squad to make him think he's got a decent shot at keeping us up. He may be supremely confident--but it's not Pardewesque baseless confidence. I can't see him taking on something that's a fundamental losing battle. That really means nothing, I guess. Stupid hope. Always fucking shit up.
It's sickening.
You had plenty of time to get out Mike. All you forrins should've just started supporting Man City when you had the chance.
Newcastle aren't even my worst team, they're not even the worst run.

Don't make me out misery, you, Mike.
Current NU regime is so unprofessional gong show that new manager must advice them how to proceed
I just want Benitez to come it and steamroll the place. Take it the fuck over like it ain't no thang.
Also, the club not saying any fucking thing about anything ever, doesn't help. I get that they're constrained in what they can say about particular deals, but at least fucking say something about recognizing the precariousness of the club's position and working on pursuing options for changing it.
It just stinks of so many transfer window failures under this regime. Feed press info about target; press beats the drum; looks like deal is happening; word gets out that very substantial parts of the deal haven't been discussed or agreed upon; deal doesn't happen; club says nothing or trots out the line that these deals take time and are hard to do; we all remember everything is horrible forever. Sounds cynical, but based on past history I don't think it's reasonable to trust the club had this all sorted and signing is just a formality. Hopefully this is the exception that proves the rule.
Training sessions would be a good opportunity for day drinking. Bring a couple lawn chairs; a grill. Cook up some burgers and dogs. Maybe smoke a little. Oh and a Frisbee. I wonder if he has a dog. I'd bring my dog.
My God. There was absolutely no prior evidence that the club's management would go rogue and act... unprofessionally. Simply shocking, Steve. Simply shocking.
