Not getting on the end of a cross = golden chance is a new one like

It's even more amazing to me that he plays how he does considering he only turned 25 in the summer. He plays with such authority and as if he's a 28/29 year old who's won it all multiple times. Just knows exactly what he's doing and does it all to an impeccable standard, whilst running faster and longer than the vast majority of players in the league. Incredible player

Eddie had his arm around him and a long chat after the full time whistle
-
Good to see they're really clamping down on holding at set pieces, as promised
-
Concerning news about Hall if true, seems to be struggling to properly get over this injury
-
Yes, we can only hope they continue to be the guardians of the integrity of everything
-
If he can chip in with 10+ goal contributions over the season (which he's currently well on track for) as our young 3rd choice striker then he's a really useful option to have in the squad. Even if he mostly does it against the smaller teams in the cups, the fact he can come in and do a job whilst the main strikers get a rest is really valuable in a season where we'll (hopefully) have loads of games
-
Give him a season with Eddie and he'll be starting for them at the World Cup
-
Marseille away is going to be really tough, but I think we can beat Leverkusen away, they've not had a great start to the season
-
There's not many that will get the better of him in a physical duel like, he's a beast
-
Thanks for this Beardsley comp. That first goal in the vid against Norwich was my first game at St James' as a 7 year old, and he's been my favourite ever since. What an unbelievable player he was, massively underappreciated by football fans outside of Newcastle and Liverpool
-
He's been better than I expected after reading some of the reports on him and the opinions of certain analysts. Still feel he does have an error in him, but he hasn't been fully Howed yet. Very promising
-
Aside from the fact he looks absolutely class, he also seems to be a cracking lad. From the clips I've seen of goal celebrations, he's having a laugh with several of the players and they all seem to really like him. Also noticed after the replay of the first penalty that he was asking Gordon if he could take the penalty, love that he has that confidence about him early in his career here
-
Wonder if he's rolled out the "you're only as good as your strikers" line at Blackpool yet. And then proceeds to chuck 3 of them on when they're losing with 10 minutes to go and the team shape resembles a sack of horse shit

What a classy player this guy is, has an incredible touch
-
"I'm not one to bleat about it" . Aye righto Steve
-
We're currently odds of 2.12 on Betfair though, so the betting markets are thinking it'll be a tricky game for us
-
The law literally states that it doesn't matter if it deflects off the player first anyway. Plus, on the replays I saw, he gets a touch on the ball and it then deflects off Elanga's foot straight onto his arm that is pointing straight up like a fucking periscope anyway

I've always thought Osula had a lot of potential from his brief appearances for us last season, but the fact that Frankfurt were willing to spend £30m on him makes me think even more that there is something to work with there and he's worth keeping. Frankfurt have made some great young striker signings over the last few years
-
Yeah this is what I liked the most about him last night. He wasn't pinging 50 yard passes into the midfielders feet, but he was a genuine extra passing option at the back at times to help us get out of trouble
-
Looked very classy when he came on, their defenders couldn't get near him. Love his link up play around the edge of the box
-
I'm more worried by the fact he has a bairn on the way and might want to raise it in Italy
-
Wasn't able to watch the game, but I see it as a massive positive that we can make that many changes after a tough CL game and go away to a good side and get a result. Bodes well in my opinion. Also a good sign that Howe is willing to use the whole squad this season to keep players fresh
