I'd imagine the first thing to consider and/or discuss when loaning a player is whether they're going to play or not. Seems that we fall at this first hurdle quite often. We need to start getting this right too, otherwise young players coming here are going to look at how other players have progressed (or rather not) when going out on loan and go elsewhere

Making a fast start is absolutely crucial in these games. Press high, hopefully get an early goal and they could crumble. Start slow and they'll gradually get more and more belief as the game goes on, and the crowd will start getting into it too

Is it Eddie who mostly coaches the defensive side of things and Mad Dog and Graeme Jones who do the attacking coaching? Whoever coaches our centre backs does a fucking cracking job, think of the improvements in Schar, Burn, Botman, and Lascelles, and now Thiaw has come in and looked great. Even Krafth, when he's had to play centre back due to injuries, has looked good there
