  1. Lee Ryder man All he does all day is look through forums and deny we're in for any player who gets mentioned.
  2. Yeah it activates a bonus round where you're guaranteed to win something. I did it this afternoon, won £16 and withdrew. Took 5 minutes.
  3. Did you copy and paste that from PA? What/who is PA? Profit accumulator. Wasn't having a go, just read the post on PA about an hour ago and it sounded very familiar

Thought this guy looked quality. It was great to see us have 2 central defenders who are so comfortable on the ball, it makes a massive difference to our general play knowing we won't have to hoof it long as soon as it goes to the right-sided centre back. A couple of times in the second half he just easily outpaced or outmuscled one of the Southampton players when they tried to knock it past him and take him on, anyone else and they would have been breaking through on goal.
  6. Just so glad he's not our manager and not associated with our club any more. I'm not going to get angry over the constant drivel he's spouting in the press, we all know what a fraud he is and it's just going to make it all the more glorious when he fails again.
  7. Where does Ibe fit into the team? Clyne will be right back if you play 4 at the back and right wingback if you play 3-5-2. Then you have Firmino, Milner, Coutinho who can all play right midfield? Can't see it being a 3-5-2 this season. At least not initially, unless (when) 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 goes pear shaped. Ibe will be the RW/RF in either 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 at least in opening fixtures imo and if he performs he'll of course keep the spot. I strongly believe he'll start on Sunday. He's in then

  9. Also Ibe, Aarons and Matic from memory. The 1st sub 5.0 midfielder spot is the only thing left I'm unsure of. I'm not sure Ibe will get many games seeing as they've signed Clyne, Milner and Firmino who can all play on the right hand side. Doesn't sound like Aarons will be starting initially either after McClaren's comments yesterday. He could definitely be an option when/if he starts getting games though. Rodgers has said Ibe will "feature heavily" this season which is why I'm edging towards him. Easy enough to swap between them all though. Didn't know that, might be worth chucking him in to begin with then and then finding out who starts from the rest of them
  10. Are you expecting Alli to start? In place of Mason or something?

  12. Bakary Sako - "I talked to some clubs but when I met Alan Pardew, I felt a good feeling between him and me and that's why I chose Palace. "He plays attacking, attractive football so it should be good to play here and score some goals, that's why I came to join him."
  13. Butland Clyne Cedric Shaw Hazard Sterling Depay Sinclair Rooney Benteke Giroud Subs: Darlow, Alderweireld, Fletcher, Baker Not sure about Scott Sinclair at all. For the same price or cheaper I could have Odemwingie, Alli from Spurs or Anya from Watford. Anyone know if any of them are likely to start? Or if Sinclair will start for Villa?
  14. So we've gone from only buying players in France to only buying players from Anderlecht. Interesting change of direction.
  15. We looked much better with Wijnaldum as one of the 2 midfielders. He's mobile, energetic and good on the ball, can see him driving us forward from deep. Would like to see him start next to Anita.
  16. I know someone who plays for Southend, previously played for Bradford and Rochdale and he was on around £60k a year a few years ago. Was a first team regular at all of those clubs too.
  17. He's very good, doubt we could get him though.
  18. Yep, complete and utter shambles this pre-season. Let's hope it doesn't end up costing us this season.
  19. Why wasn't he included in the squad for York yesterday, rather than the 2 nobodies we had on the bench? Is he really that much out of favour?
  20. He was a bit rusty but was getting on the end of (or very close to getting on the end of) the majority of balls into the box. Should have scored at least once, particularly with a chance from about 8 yards out in the second half. Had a couple of good moments where he managed to make something out of fairly aimless punts upfield as well, getting the ball down with his chest or knocking it down for someone. He seemed well up for it too, looks like a fighter.
  21. Walked past him and his group of mates as I was going to the drains / bogs. Looked like he was having a good time chatting with other fans.
  22. Well, that was pretty bad. Mitrovic looked rusty, was getting on the end of lots of crosses and balls into the box but his match sharpness was lacking. Put himself about though and went nuts at the referee for a couple of free kicks in the second half, the mad bastard. On the whole the game was very poor, our entire tactic seemed to be to get the ball to Ferguson and let him whip a cross in, which he did time and time again without much success. 2000 Newcastle fans out of 5000, quite an impressive effort for a mid-week friendly. Saw at least five people getting strong armed out the door by security in our section though, knackers.
  23. Cue thousands of people removing Yoshida from their Fantasy Football teams.
