Not sure if you find out straight away who is home and who is away, I think it took 2 days for the fixtures to come out following the draw last time, yet again some of the opening games are on a thursday too.

I'm not hugely bothered but would lean towards Spurs, Man United would be pot 1 in CL and increase our chance of playing an English side, which would seem a waste, not sure where Spurs would end up. It would definitely seem like a bigger deal spurs winning whereas just another second rate (for them) trophy for Man u.

you are right as the double of villa and chelsea is 4/5 which added with arsenal double chance bumps it to 6/5 which make it less than 50% chance of happening

Not sure if its been said but they've had a major ticketing error where anyone could go on and buy tickets, so theres a good chance some season 'card' holders miss out.

if chelsea and villa win I think its probably in our interest forest do as well to have something to play for, we can't finish behind both of them as is, and they have Europe locked in

I think forest are cooked now. Spurs and Man U bottom of form chart and unlikely to try much harder ahead of final. I suppose if Man U win they could be on a high for final day but not expecting any more favours.

There’s a scenario where England could end up not having a team in the conference of Chelsea win it but can’t recall where they need to be in the league. I still think we need a win to lock it in as Villa will win the last two now, it wouldn’t surprise me if they qualify with us and city.

Yeah I’ve no real problems with that as should be more balanced on the whole next season. We would be the team from pot four who teams would want to avoid.

Football rankings has us lowest ranked side on projections, ironically highlights that going deep in Europa wouldn’t be bad for coefficient. It feels a very distant second nowadays though.

I was in aus for all of the Europa run under pardew, getting up early on a Friday to watch Thursday night games was a head fuck all day.

Not seen the Villa game but all that mattered for them was they won, if they can do it next week then I fully expect them to win the last two as well. Be happy enough matching Chelsea result tomorrow as long as forest don’t win.

I mean Penshaw has only been Sunderland since the 90s or so and is still roughly even but obviously they’ve added it to the new badge. nice of him to have the Tyne bridge on though . . .
