We had an American football style one from Umbro in 1987, like hens teeth.

That’s literally what the wording was, sorry if I didn’t make it clear, that was the awful part. Basically made us look like cuckolds.
-
At lease we won’t have to see those half United/Newcastle ones, even seen them for sale in North Shields, possibly the worse thing I’ve ever seen in my life.
-
I had it up for ages and hadn’t been much interest at what I had it up for, nor was I in a huge hurry to sell but got a lot on before Wembley even considered which I expect being a 5/700 quid weekend.

I don't like the fact we play them away first where they will be strong favourites to win, so it could get into our players heads. In the unlikely event we get a positive result there the reverse could be true however. The irrational part of my brain tells me we have more agony before winning something, we are yet to be denied the agony of being in front in a final or at Wembley in my 5 visits, but i'm trying to stay calm about this one and enjoy the weekend regardless as we shouldn't have to wait too long to go back, which I also said after last time.

that was a lucky find on depop, oddly it had celtic written in the shadow stripe. I would leave it plain tbh, rarer. My mate refused to put greenalls on any of my 80's shirts as he felt they shouldn't be touched.

Which one in particular? Normally just find templates on eBay etc and have a mate who can print off logos

I don't consider myself that superstitious but even my shirt choice for Wembley las time, to choice of pub last night was consumed by this. Could be a good thing not wearing black and white for a change, obviously the big thing would be getting spurs in the first place.
-
We could end up playing in claret and blue if its Spurs . . .
-
Also do this, looks like they’ve tripled overnight

I don’t think I went again til the beam back of the boro game the next year. Then a trickle the following season. I got these made for my first homes and aways in lockdown.
-
We mine too. Was far too young for it really. Police dog display at half time was the highlight.
-
John mcricrick was always the one wearing black and white on tv when I was younger, always seemed a harmless eccentric before the reality shite.
-
I don’t think they were great second half of last season, us, spurs Chelsea and man united all won at Villa park, heavily in some cases but they had enough points on the board and nobody else could produce a good enough win to catch them.

It sounds good to me, much like the Texaco cup which we won in the 70’s, however I think it would just devalue it further to the money men. on the subject of obscure cups the mackems never even made it out of the qualifying for the Anglo Italian, so the furthest they got I think was Southend.

CFS bought my Fiorentina Fila Nintendo jacket for about £60 in lockdown, and obviously it was up for a lot more not long after, since then I never sell anything on an auction on ebay.
-
I wouldn't bother with the star as it had the pattern in it anyway, wasn't on top of the shirt like on the asics one. I like it unsponsored, unsure why it was available like that but I believe the reserves wore it that way a few times. I wonder if the one on cfs is the same one that ended on ebay for just under £100 last weekend, wouldn't surprise me

I think its just pure nostalgia for me.

Disagee that its excellent as the collar is too long, its not bad though and I'd probably rather get one of their with the snide umbro on. The 92-93 one does seem good. Was watching old Saint and greavsie yesterday and they had Bobby Robson awarding gazza young eagle of the month, I reckon the 87-90 home may be my favourite of all time, don't think any snides of this going?
-
Didn’t realise they’d released this, probably my favourite ever away, the collar is still wrong mind. Got an original anyway.

My mackem mates in Washington who have no relatives from sunderland or anything and no accent, or other close affiliation to the city are pretty ok to be fair, obviously don't like us but would sometimes even meet up with them after derbies, result pending.
