Good to see the medical team/Pardew haven't learnt from the mistakes of last season. Play someone who has a muscle injury, it's just going to get worse.

No doubt it would be good at times but none of those players are suited to playing wide roles or interested in any sort of defending so not sure it would work perfectly.

I must be watching a different game because i didn't see any long balls what so ever. Problem is that Cisse couldn't deal with the ball on the ground either and loss possession if the wind was slightly going in his direction. Not to mention he's incapable of running in behind or linking the play, so makes him pretty much useless in our current set up. Not as much as we normally do. Although we didn't see much of the ball at all. But enough so that a mate I was watching it with who doesn't normally watch newcastle games was saying "christ you do lump it aimlessly forward a lot don't you" I think having Sissoko in the middle will make us less likely to do this as he seems to prefer to either play little triangles or go on dribbles.

As much as I hate Shola I can see Pardew starting him considering the lack of presence we had upfront on Monday. We seem to be persisting with the long ball to Cisse so it makes sense that he'll want to put Shola up there with him.

Pardew could be the biggest troll of all time. Using the "over the line" phrase in every interview even when he's not talking about transfers. Still fits it in atleast once. Gets slagged off by us for using the tiredness excuse last year so uses it after the first fucking game in the build up to West Ham. Says Shola is his favourite player and we the fans should love him. and so many many more that I can't be bothered to list.

Got a sneaky feeling he will be sacked shortly after the transfer window closes. Guy is drowning and it would take something special for him to turn it around now for me. Missed all the chat over the last few pages about who still backs Pardew etc but it might be good to know exactly who does and who doesn't, just so we know where we all stand on here
