Aye, thought he was very good. Gave away a fair amount of free kicks but mostly unfairly just because he crushed his opponent. Oh man I swear like non of his so-called fouls were freekicks. Referee today would have given a foul for blowing on someone today. Powerful performance. Impressive that he was still bombing forward in injury time. Just waiting for the day he drives into space and unleashes a thunderbastard of a shot into the top corner. Feel like it's got to happen soon or later Oh and finally, amazing how much more comfortable he is in the position we were all desperate for him to play in. Non of this wide right/number 10 bollocks.

Hobbling? shit thought he was too but my stream was low quality. Would explain why a couple of times at the end he didn't go on a run. Hope he's ok in 2 weeks time. Anyway great way to make a debut as the crowd were roaring. Imagine he quite enjoyed the difference between playing here and loftus road

Love it when he gives an interview. They are so rare but so brilliant as you can always tell he actually cares. His celebration showed that too, could see the relief on this face.

Yep the Shola decision aside it was the right team and left us with quality in reserve with Remy. From the first few mins you could tell it was much better than we've seen so far this season and only the fact we had a static Shola and Cisse first half stopped us creating much. Game begin to drift as we looked toothless upfront again but fair play for the positive subs and take the game to a quite frankly ultra negative Fulham side who didnt deserve any points. I do fear he will throw Jonas and Tiote back in if they are fit against Villa as it's an away game. It would be a big mistake because I really like the look of Anita and Sissoko as a partnership in the middle. Steven Taylor made a comment before the game about how they played great against west ham and deserve to keep the shirt, they played even better today so hope that continues. Mapou aswell. Gomis in and Shola out and I'm positive about the season finally.

Sissoko proving again what a power house he can be in his best position. Really like him as a player. I didn't realise Remy was so composed and good on the ball. Thought he was just a finisher like Cisse but with more pace. Almost looked Henry like with his close control and number 14 Will improve us massively especially as he's also got the height to hold it up if necessary aswell Really like Anita atm, alway available for the ball and the little 1-2s open the space up really well. Plus he encourages us to keep it on the deck Ben Arfa his usual mercurial self. Knew eventually one of his shots had to connect properly. Love the guy. Swap Shola for Gomis as well and I could feel positive about doing well all of a sudden.

Chuffed to bits with that. Especially after Remy came on (looks quality) I know we still looked blunt upfront for most but the way the players went about it really impressed me and Pardew made the right changes to be fair. Although Anita is showing up Cabaye massively with his last two performances.
-
Shola should come off. His movement is laughable and everytime we try and play through him the ball bounces off him everytime. Cabaye on for Shola if Remy can't handle 45mins
-
Is it bad that I thought for most of that half we were massively improved? keeping it on the deck and trying to get forward and yet it's telling that the commentators think it's the shittest game ever Think it still all falls down offensively because Shola is playing and we don't have a proper left winger. Remy in for Shola and maybe Cabaye in there and we may create more.
-
Can't help thinking if Cabaye is available then he should be starting. I know would have been harsh on Shola in Pardews mind but he didn't show anything against west ham.

It's another "we tried" type bid. Not falling for it.

1 home league goal in 6 months- fucking disgrace. Well when you put it like that yeah except your counting all the months with no football (also ignoring europa league games?) Still 4 home games without a goal is very poor. Lets hope with the last goal coming against Fulham we can get going again with goals against them.
-
We beat them without Ben Arfa last season so I'm hoping with him we can beat them again.

The most depressing thing though I realised is that we don't even need to do photoshops with this sort of stuff around. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/08/22/article-2398876-1B656BE3000005DC-779_308x336.jpg

how you missed the chance to make Pardew Steve Martin I'll never know The hair is practically identical!

Hehe i always end up doing that, fast typing see http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m08celcrnT1r3isxuo1_500.gif sorry

That reminder about Redknapp sticking it too Pardew in his interview with his cockney reporter mates lapping it up and giggling along. Where are you now you fat saggy faced cunt. Not that I like Pardew in anyway but that was one instance where his words got twisted. It was great when Hodgson got the job
-
Few more potentially bullshit rumours about agreeing lower wage terms with Gomis but yeah your right. Think it's Gomis or nothing. In the past there would have been a faint chance we had a deal for a player or two kept quiet and we'd spring it out of the blue like Cabaye or Marveaux but not now, especially with Kinnear involved.
-
Really miss hughton and the way he would flat out deny anything until it happened. "I'm not aware of any negotiations" "but the player has been seen at the training ground chris?"
-
They only want to sell him because he's being a little scrote and refused to train because he didn't want to play for them no? I'm sure Lille would have preferred to have just played the player they brought rather than sell straight away.
-
If Pardew is still here for the remainder of his contract (7years?) I can see him going down as the most hated manager in our history.
-
To be fair I think Ben Arfa was widely known as a trouble maker when we signed him. The surprising thing has been how perfectly behaved he has been since joining us I suppose. I think the broken leg had a humbling effect on him as he admitted himself.
