Yes I get that impression. That other teams all have the equivalent of a Faye but don't feel the need to big it up as they have always had one.

maybe add a set piece expert next.

I would really rather like not to have to watch Mike Williamson play for us next season.
-
Yeah it was said all last season how un-fit we were. We started as probably the least fit side based on our first few games in my opinion and we were playing catch up from there in terms of fitness. Could help explain the many games where we only played well in one half, also the many late goals we conceded and of course the ridiculous amount of injuries.

Seen a lot of praise of Leon Best on here recently and I liked him as much as everyone else and really didn't want him to leave (especially as we didn't replace him) but wasn't the problem that he picked up a lot of injuries? He was out all season for Blackburn last year too. Admittedly it was a knee injury that can happen to anyone but still

I really hope we just get someone "over the line" soon so that we've popped our summer 2013 transfer cherry and then hopefully more signings follow after.
-
I was going to say, what do you mean can't come back from this? He could easily change his mind and decided he's now ok with it. Hardly think the club would go "nooooooope that's it you've hurt our feelings now, get lost"
-
I really do think we will regret letting Cisse go. He was very poor at times last season but I just get the feeling he will have a better year this year. Especially if he could play off someone like Gomis for example.
-
Nar it was the summer before that. Just before Euro 2008.
-
In one of the videos Shola clattering into Santon (leaves him on the floor with some sort of slight injury) and then proceeds to fall over himself when trying to control the ball. Classic Shola.

So three new strikers and keep hold of Cisse? ok That would be a sensible amount of strikers as far as I'm concerned. Bent/Cisse/Gomis as the main striker options, with Remy/Gouffran as the more withdrawn option / wingish position. (Obviously it'll never fucking happen like) That's what I mean though. Sure 4 strikers would be sensible but this is Newcastle. I think people get a little carried away. Yesterday was looking like we potentially might go into season with just Gouffran and Shola and then the Gomis link is announced and suddenly people think sign 3 new strikers aswell as keep hold of Cisse.

Seems to have all gone quiet on Remy. Saw West Ham are now linked but seems to be very few rumours about where he could be going compared to at the end of last season. I assume everyone is cautious due to his rape charge. But I'm guessing that won't be sorted any time soon so is their a chance he will stay at QPR. I suppose innocent until proven guilty and all that. Would be perfect for us I believe despite all the nonsense that happened in January.

if the alternative is Gignac then it's Gomis for me all day long. Not long now til we can field a full french 11. Not that I give a shit but the press will be crying about it.

Surely Ryder could just be going off that quote from their chairman last night not actually anyone at our club?
-
How many offsides? Cisse shits on everyone in the offside goal stakes
-
far more mobile than Shola among other things so instantly we would be better off
-
Thought this link would rear it's ugly head again once Liverpool lost out on Mkhitaryan to Dortmund. Would officially be the last straw for me if he went. Especially if it was to Liverpool.
-
Fuck all the other clubs and their fucking transfers
-
So they potentially have a choice of Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo and Jovetic to put up against us on the opening game?
-
Gignac is a donkey

As people have said. Always thought he was like a slightly better version of Kenwyne Jones. Although seeing as the Premier league is treated as being the stronger league you'd probs have to wait and see if he is actually infact better.
