yeah that sounds like the sort of move owen would make

Showed why his pace can be a real asset. Almost as if he knew from the first minute that he had the beating of his defender and grew in confidence. Needs to start every game with that mindset. No more of this timid slow it down drop the shoulder bollocks, just get it out your feet and take him on we know you can do it. But after that learn to cross.

are you still on tuesday neil?

He'll no doubt be on tomorrow to tell us the ins and outs of all tottenhams transfers in that smug arrogant style that he does.

I remember watching the carroll sale minute by minute. Emotions varied. Liverpool bid 20m Rejected 30m Rejected > ashley. £35m and carroll transfer request :frantic: then £35m? sweet lets go make some signings there is still time. We make no signing......

why the fuck would they decline it? take the money!

fits in with the pardew quote about players being happy at their clubs
-
He sounds abit like roeder now with the whole bigging up the kids.

Didnt think he was good enough in the championship season and was concerned about him when we got promoted. Then he got injured and we played perch for the start of the season who was absolute shit (sorry perchinho but you were) and in comparison Simpson actually looked decent there. As the season dragged on his backing off of players became a concern and others began to notice his lack of ability offensively. Last year he did ok defensively as we defended very well as a team but again his overall lack of technique and composure makes him the most frustrating player to watch plus the fact he never seems to learn from his mistakes and it actually feels like he's regressed as a player rather than progressing.

In a way i wish he had gone to real madrid to ease the pain Luckily working tomorrow so going to try and avoid most of the wasted time watching SSN. What time does it "slam shut"?
-
Shame he doesn't have a great turn of speed or he would be a truly exciting prospect. Still he does have a lovely left foot and is tall enough to handle himself against strong defenders. Needs to work on a few other parts of his game but these European games could be the making of him.
-
Nar i mean when he steps out for his first game the contrast between stepping out at the bernabeu and the shit hole that is loftus road might really hit home.
-
to be fair all im clinging on to now is the hope that at the very least we don't sell anybody.
-
Love to see Esteban Granero's reaction when he realises he has swapped playing at the bernabeu for loftus road.
-
Wish other clubs would fuck off signing so many players aswell so that we didnt feel so left out £300m+ spent. Unreal amounts of money.
-
Because its still happening even if we don't sign anyone? If were not signing anyone then the day is irrelevant.

oh fuck off. what is the point of this thread.

They aren't. They are paying over the odds just to stay up. West Ham will achieve f*** all this season but they've bought enough goals to avoid relegation. As opposed to us, who sold our only PL standard striker in the January transfer window during our first season back? It's relentless, this nonsense. Thats not really a great example of a poor move on our behalf is it given the long term result. Which long term result? The £35m still hasn't been spent. This still annoys the fuck out of me. How can we not dip into that money for a few signings. Tottenham get £33m (reportedly) for modric and look like they are trying to reinvest all of it into the team. Because we lived beyond our means for a decade and it nearly wiped us out. Why didnt they just say that then instead of saying all of it would be reinvested in the team around the time of the sale?

Abeid has shown lots of bright moments and even scored a nice goal in pre-season. Reported to be injured anyway if your basing your opinion on bigi playing instead of him tonight.

Smiling like a smug git when he said "liverpool gave us £35m and we wish him well at west ham"
-
or Abeid. Damn you Ashley. Damn all the Ashley's!

Still looks to be building himself up after many injury problems. Has good pace and dribbling ability though which can be a real asset to us. Especially in those tight games where we might need someone to unlock a difficult defence.
