Bale has outrageous pace which Ben Arfa doesn't. Yes Hatem has great acceleration but he's not in the same league as Bale for speed. Ben Arfa is a technical dribbler who rarely just knocks it down the line and chases it like Bale does. Hatem has had injury problems and until he can play a full season without injury and as people have said playing in a less rigid side it's unfair to judge him. He was in great shape pre-injury this season but let down by Pardew and the rest of the team. I think he will flourish more in our current setup and I can't wait to see him back.

Thought he could have done better with both goals today, the 2nd in particular. There was only one place Bale could have put the ball it seemed and yet it still went in. Kicking was a problem and that moment when he misjudged the cross was poor. Slightly redeemed himself with a couple of saves but shaky performance all round.

Feel he was a big miss today. He was the difference in the reverse fixture just like Bale was for them today. Still if we can get him back and keep him fit till the end of the season we'll be far more dangerous offensively.

This is going to be a really tough game. Not trying to big up Spurs to much but they are one of the most difficult teams for us. Could have been worse. Expected him to give a pen for the ba incident and also could easily have given Cisse a red. Not that I personally think they should have been given but wouldn't have surprised me if Webb had given them.
