Yep, we basically bullied them into submission in the 4-4. Nolan and more so Barton were driving the team on at 4 nil down

It will be all thanks to Big Sam though, nothing to do with having players that are way too good for the division (still surprised Nolan didn't go to a bottom half PL team). http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2022843/Sam-Allardyce-Ill-turn-West-Ham-winners.html Some typical quotes from Allardyce: 'They were desperate to sell Blackburn for many, many years and my satisfaction comes from the fact that I created so much interest in the club again,' he says. 'I know it sounds like I'm blowing my own trumpet but I might as well. Mourinho does it all the time and everyone loves him. 'I created such a vibrant football club that there were four or five who wanted to buy it, having never shown any interest before. I was producing profit with results.' 'But the proof of the pudding is what happens to a football club when you leave. What happened to Limerick when I left? They went down. What happened to Blackpool when I left? They went down. What happened to Notts County? They went down. What happened to Bolton? They nearly got relegated. What happened to Newcastle? ted. What happened to Blackburn? They nearly got relegated.' But how did he persuade Nolan to even consider dropping down a division? 'I think it's past history,' he says. 'Kevin was bitterly disappointed that I didn't take him to Newcastle. It was virtually impossible at the time because of the animosity between me and Phil Gartside (Bolton chairman). If I'd tried to buy him the price would have been £12million, simply because it was me. 'I thought I only had an outside chance of getting him here but I was aware there was a bit of discontent because of what appeared, from a distance, to be Newcastle's lack of appreciation towards him. But I think our past relationship counted for a lot. I was the manager, at Bolton who really started him off, brought him through. So there's some mutual respect there, built over those years. Maybe that's because you leave the teams with crap, old, past it, mega wages players you cunt bag

But are you sure he will only miss 2 games ? Thought i read it was more... Thread titles are like facts to me so yes 2 games
-
He's just building (slowly) towards that derby day and then when he's done he'll slip into a coma or something till the next one comes around
-
Barely played at all though really. played the odd nothing champions league group game for them or carling cup game. Rarely came off the bench or even made the bench if i remember rightly
-
i swear it was them who said a deal was done the other day only for pardew to say there hadnt been a firm offer
-
He's a big lad for his age so that should defiantly help him in the premiership. I just hope if he has a bad game here and there that he's not just taken out of the first team completely
-
If it was another long term injury id have agreed with mimi but missing 2 games is nothing in the grand scheme of things, obviously if he gets snapped in half on his return then yes his time here will have been cursed
-
Maybe Marvellous Marv will play leftback
-
Are we ever guna need to wear that third strip? shame cus it's nice just utterly pointless
-
I dont know him that intimately
-
Dare i say someone like long would benefit from playing with him?
-
ah damn it hes up
-
van persie injured? love the player but if he misses next week id be over the moon!
-
As pessimistic as i get sometimes, i keep reminding myself that the 3 teams coming up really arn't as strong as we were and then add in the wigans(no n'zogbia) etc and we should be fine bar a mass injury crisis, but then again who wouldn't be in trouble with loads of injuries except the top 4

I wouldn't worry bout that. Barton doesn't tear anyone apart due to his serious lack of pace, but he might bully him i think the real rape is guna be gervinho on simpson and it aint guna be pretty!! Thought Gervinho played RW? ok nasri then to be honest it could be almunia playing there and i still wouldnt have 100% faith in simpson. I need winning over with him still.....altho atleast its not perch playing.

the all black kit looks pretty sassy

didnt know he had that epic tattoo on his chest

Glorious on paper, apart from the defence which can be got at. Would be feeling alot more positive if we had a fit ben arfa or a new striker.

They always start like a house on fire though. Gunna take something special i think to get something. Id take a draw all day
-
Wont matter anyway cus tiote's apparently not going to be back in time for arsenal
-
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck off. haha the obertan rumour doesnt sound bad at all when you consider the possible alternative
