  1. Yeah I think that game for them is massive. Beat Liverpool and they might just do it. But lose and it could all fall apart very quickly I could see. Any word on Rashford injury? Heard he went off today with a knock. Could be impactful for Man Utd.
  2. Just looked at Arsenal's fixtures and Man city's and have to say I think Arsenal will get pipped unfortunately for them. I don't see Man city dropping anymore points and Arsenal have got away fixtures against Liverpool then City and then us. It could possibly be a repeat of last season aswell if we get a result against them as it could be the nail in the coffin. I hope our game is irrelevant and they win it anyways as probably prefer them than City winning yet again.
  3. This sort of handball, where the arm is close to the body and if you didn't have arms it would have just hit the torso is ridiculously harsh. As others said, it hits the advert patch on his sleeve so I thought anything above the sleeve wasnt handball? They need to change the phrase "handball" then if we're top of the arm.
  4. Yeah he's getting abit Kieron Dyer with these hamstrings. They seem so prone to pulls and tears. It feels like it's holding back his ability to perform at 100%. Even recently despite contributing to the team he looks scared to run at full speed anymore. Maybe rightly so if he is getting minor strains so easily.
  5. Have to say. Despite him playing way recently. To the eye, physically he hasn't looked right to me. Perhaps this hamstring has been playing up a little for awhile and they are just trying to manage it and avoid him getting a longer term strain. Shame if he's out of Villa and worse Spurs as I think having all our attacking options makes a big difference.
  6. + a goal for himself harshly ruled out. Great cameo. Looking more like the Wilson we expect. Poor effort at the end when Bruno played him through however.
  7. Missed him. But perhaps while he and Almiron are out then the Wilson-Isak partnership is the way to go.
  8. Looking at spurs fixtures. Could easily see them getting about 15 points. So I think that home game is must win. Keeps them at arm's length and even if we get less points in remaining fixtures it will be hard for them to overtake us. On paper our run in is tough. But need to forget that and the boys just need to have confidence in themselves and know that they are 3rd on merit and can beat anyone.

Wasn't a pen for me. Player anticipated he was gonna get hit in the head and threw himself to the floor. Ref didn't give it so should never have been overturned after 30 replays slower down. Contact doesn't mean penalty l, been said a million times but never gets less frustrating. Wilson's looked clearly the top of the arm above the sleeve and was down by his side. Again how is that given? Seemed a collective effort to try to hold us back today and they failed because our quality still got us over the line. Coupled with spurs getting saved by a horrendous decision and all.
  10. Good positive changes at half time. Changed the game. Now for him to get the better of Emery. ?
  11. I'm more worried about the Villa game than Spurs. Think we have enough to beat Spurs at home if we turn up.
  12. Yeah that period after half time where Bruno and Joelinton took control of midfield was really impressive. Really don't think Wilson's goal should have been ruled out. If it isn't I could have seen another 1:5 result. But we had to hang on and survive all their long balls after that. Was surprised actually, didn't realise they were so reliant on long throws etc. We looked far superior once we got going.
  13. Defensively haven't coped at all with their pacy lad. I'd bring Targett on and possibly Isak into the 10 or wide left and Wilson in.
  14. Hope ASM out is just squad rotation like at west ham. He was just hitting some form so wouldn't want him to be injured again.

    Fabian Schär

Yeah Schar has been the better of the two. That's not a slight on Botman at all as he has been fantastic in his first season at such a young age. But Schar has just been outstanding. It's actually been great to pair Botman with an experienced older player to learn from. They compliment eachother so well also. If he had been partnered with Lascelles then this season would have been vastly different.

    Matt Targett

Was actually disappointed he didn't come on sooner. Would really be keen to see him start a game at some point and see if we improve even further. Burn has done great this year but the only times we tend to look vulnerable in a game is when teams attack him.

    Fabian Schär

Yeah I don't understand. He's played many years here and has demonstrated great range of passing. Not just that but he clearly looks up and sees the run and pings it straight through to Jo with accuracy and good pace on it. Perfect pass and vision. Lifting take from Redknapp to say he didn't mean it. But then I don't expect any decent punditry to ever come out of his mouth.
  18. Fab Schar's pass was delicious. Great run from big Jo aswell. So proud of this team. Every one of them now are playing great. Burn despite playing to his maximum is still a worry each game though. Part of me is still convinced Targett would improve us further if he gets back in. But it's getting increasingly difficult to say what our best lineup is anymore. So many players in form.
  19. I'd say if you looked back and watched any games over previous season he was definitely quicker than he is now. Whether he is like a Owen or Dyer and has had so many Hamstring issues that he is just running at bout 70% out of fear of injury. Or the injuries have just taken their toll and slowed him down. Having said that, he is back inform now and playing his best integrated version of himself within Eddie's tactics. Seems he's turned a corner and bought into what the manager is asking him to do.
  20. Aguerd is a good player. Rice in the middle has proven he can rise his performance against us and Bowen on the wing against Burn will be a concern as always. Paqueta is bit of an unknown still if he is going to perform. But unless that win on sunday suddenly transforms them back into form, then I think aslong as we perform to our own standards, we should have too much for them.
  21. Brighton and villa need to slow their roll.

    Joe Willock

Hope he didn't pull a hammy or anything towards the end of the game.
  23. Man u fixtures look favourable and ours look tricky on paper. But hopefully we just take care of our own business and hope our rivals mess up. West ham looked poor when I watched them yesterday. Obviously it was a nervy six pointer for them and they maybe be more relaxed against us. But if we get the first goal I think we win comfortably. Brentford and villa away will be tough and I guess draws wouldn't be terrible but then we have a must win against spurs.

    Alexander Isak

Some outrageous touches. Lovely player. I'm glad we didn't sub him when they were saying we will planning too. Vital contribution to that first goal.
