Big Joe doesn’t have the touch or awareness to play in the hole. So many plays would breakdown through him (as they currently do).

And my opinion on the matter is that yes, maybe since since the takeover we’ve signed too many players from the PL, but I believe we were in a position that not many other clubs were in and needed battle worn, proven PL quality players to help us get out of the shit and steady the ship, while other clubs could take punts on speculative players from abroad.

About? And just because you can’t think of any doesn’t mean it’s actually true. This board really needs to stop spouting opinions as cold hard facts.

I think it doesn’t even have to be a “target man” as such, personally. Even just having a fit striker ahead of him helping pull defenders away from Isak so he can use his intelligence and touch to find that extra space and make stuff happen. Isak shouldn’t have to be “leading the line” like he has been. It’s a huge waste of his obvious talents. Keeping him way up the pitch, incredibly isolated, is not playing to his strengths.

It’s one of the frustrating parts of our form this season for me. If we were even just a little bit better we’d be up in the top 6, maybe even top 4, pretty easily. But we’re currently wasting this amazing opportunity.

I mean, I don’t condone filming while at matches like that at all, but surely they’re filming for a Forster save and not anything to do with Palmer?

One of those proper rolled back the years kind of nights for wor Fab.

When it comes to today’s starting XI if we had a class RW and could replace Big Joe with someone who has more class on the ball, we’re cooking.

That was the most fun I’ve had watching us play in a long while. Even at 2-3 I was resigned to a loss but still felt entertained and was taking a lot of positives and enjoyed watching us play. Please for the love of god, bring back the press full time again Eddie.
