I think the disconnect is what people thought he was going to bring to the team and what Howe knew he'd bring to the team. He was always just going to be a less bullish version of Big Joe but much more tidy and better user of the ball. And he'll eventually pop up with a similar amount of goals to Joe I'd imagine. But he'll keep the ball moving around the pitch and put in some miles while doing it.
