It may seem that way from the outside, and it's a lot of money to spend, but it also revitalizes whole neighborhoods like Kanji said above. It spurs on economic growth in cities that really need it. Attached to some of these new stadiums are mixed use developments that bring in crazy development turning old un-safe parts of town in to highly sought after property. Also when you get a new stadium you're also in line to host things like the Superbowl or the All Star week for baseball which both bring in untold amounts of money to the city.

Georgia Dome is 23 years old. There's stuff in my fridge older than that! But compared to a lot of the newer stadiums the facilities are terrible, which leads to: Because it totally is when there are stadiums like the new Cowboys stadium or others, even in other sports. You need a new stadium pretty frequently to keep up with the times, no one is going to want to play or go watch a game in a shithole when the town over has a state of the art new stadium.

Had a great game today, fair play to the lad.

He's so good at reading the game in the middle, popping out of no where to intercept passes when their CMs are going for that killer pass. Really an unsung hero. He does a lot of dirty work that doesn't get all the plaudits it should. I also love the way the ball just kind of pops off his foot. His passing range is great too which a lot of good off the ball movement, he's never hiding and always looking to be an outlet.

I was really impressed with him on the ball today. I thought we showed ourselves really well today in the face of shitty reffing and being down to 10 players for 76 minutes of the match. We're a team again.

if we're not signing someone we know is going to be good then i'd rather spend the remaining window getting rid of williamson, gouffran and obertan and going with taylor, colo, mbemba, dummet and lascelles for CB until january by which time we'll hopefully have found a contract loophole to exploit or the euro might be further on it's arse by then Both started last night.
