Of course not, but others would like to think so. If Ashley wasn't going to "splash the cash" on this guy then he surely wouldn't spend the money to set up an elaborate plan for this kid to fail a medical.

Aguero. Cheers, at least he got me some points then.

Who had the Man City assist?

It was said that this dude scores wherever he goes and he's proving it now. Great "free" signing. Long hope it lasts.

Newcastle United Vs Swansea - 17/12/11 - Pre Match Thread

What I would go for if all fit. -
Gotta be in the frame now.

If we weren't scoring goals I would be more concerned. These kind of results will happen when you have to start your right back and fifth choice center back. With our first choice center backs we win this match comfortably.

This is bigger news than it's being made out to be if you ask me. He's really kept his head above water in the three hardest fixtures we've had this season - one of the players to come out with their heads high. He will be a big miss, especially if he's not back come January.
-
Love the little chubster trying to get his kit off after the first goal.

Would be good logic if Raylor wasn't prone to be terrible. The quicker he's out, the better. If Coloccini is out next game, it should be; Santon - Kadar - Perch - Simpson. Why would you switch Simpson to the left flank and Santon to his less-favored right-back position?
-
Definitely done his ligaments there.
-
If anything, his first touch is one of the better aspects of his game.

After the rumours that won't let up I am hoping for Maiga, Pieters (or equivlent of those two), and one "versatile defender" - anything beyond that will be a plus.

In the Stoke/Everton match highlights I just saw over here in the States, every highlight from Stoke was from a set-play, not one open play opportunity.

Balotelli's goal What a character.

Disappointing result but not that unexpected. More worried about the injuries to be honest. Our "winnable" matches coming up next could be made very difficult.

4/1 for a top 6 finish ain't bad odds at all!
-
Agree with this. Glad to hear he'll hopefully be back soon.

I have a funny feeling we'll see Guthrie on the right and Obertan on the left of a 4-5-1. Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, and Tiote through the middle of the park.

There are some serious problems with the British "journalism" field. We have our fair share of bullshit over here but everyone knows they are fake magazines (US Weekly, National Enquirer, etc..) but it seems like a lot of British papers that print pure speculation and shit-stirring really parade themselves around as real magazines/papers. How do they get away with producing stuff that is quite obviously not real but printing it as truth?
-
Don't think we'll be going 4-4-2. I think it'll be Ba up front on his own, even at home.

Would be cool on the last game of the season (Everton) to wear some "retro" kits from when Speed played for each club then auction them off for charity. Along with doing something this Saturday as well.

Worked his ass off yesterday. Was a wok-horse until the final whistle, always giving us an outlet. Credit where it's due.

We got a fucking point at Old Trafford today.

THe reason we'll see Santon is that HBA will be wide left and we'll need a "real" LB
