  1. Could tell he really didn't want to score against us.
  2. Don't normally get to see this kind of build up for a football match, stoked.
  3. Glad to see we have actual options to change the game from the bench. Not usually something we're used to.
  4. I thoroughly enjoyed our season in Championship. I mean, sure we were expected to win every match which was nice, but there was some great football down there too. Like you said, it's a lot of squads just going for it, not being scared.
  5. DC/NOVA. We've earmarked Ireland fourcourts but now not looking likely. There's a place in town that opens up really early for matches (7:30am when I was there). It's called Fado's. Get off at the Chinatown Metro (Verizon Center stop) and walk North up 7th St. That's where I watched Ben Arfa get slaughtered by De Jong :'( Here's the actual address: 808 7th Street Northwest Washington D.C., DC 20001 And then afterwards you can go to Nando's, which is across the street.
  6. The fact that a lot of people who support NUFC seem to care less and less about Sunderland every year must make them so fucking angry. Having the chance to beat us is about all they have to look forward to each season.
  7. Surprised more footballers haven't been busted for cocaine to be honest. I thought it'd be much more prevalent.
  8. It was a good call by Swansea to splash the cash on a keeper like Vorm. Could be the difference between staying up and going down this season.

Yeah the Canadian player situation has a lot of grey areas and I'm not 100% on them so I couldn't comment.
  10. Pretty much this. It's an interesting debate, but overall it's apples and oranges. Rooney has much more to his overall game but Shearer was a better center forward.

From what I hear the plan is one more team to even it out at 20 and then to hold off for half a decade to let the talent pool fill back up.
  12. Same, I won't be going OTT either wayn on Monday. Will be interesting to hear our lot's general reaction, reckon it could be mixed. He'll most definitely get booed. Football fans are far too fickle on the whole.

There's a lot of show boating by the Cosmos franchise but I think it's smoke-screening to be honest. What Orlando has going for it that the other potential cities don't is that we've put a team out there this season and gotten the butts in the seats. With the other franchises they've either already gotten a team on the pitch and have proven their attendance sucks or they are just a hypothetical franchise (Cosmos). This was a great season in Orlando and I was super skeptical about having a soccer team here and what kind of attendance it would get but I've been happily proven wrong.

  15. That whole match was brilliant if I remember correctly. Was buzzing afterwards.

    Sunderland...

I would have wanted him too, why do you think he would have favoured Sunderland though? Scared of big crowds? Him and Bruce have a good history together.
  17. Wasn't Jonas on the right against Man U when KK was in charge? Remember him having a good game then.
  18. Surprised people are so sure about a good result here. I think they'll give us a game.
  19. 4 of them from us... Ah yes, how could I forget. Which fact is more depressing?
