Thought he had a pretty bad match with the ball at his feet today - the goal aside - he misplaced a lot of passes. His all-around play was great though.

I honestly thought it was in, I jumped up and then reality struck.

Was really buoyed by the fact that he had a real shot on goal within seconds of being on the pitch, that always does the confidence a world of good.

Really hope to see Colo and Willy back in defense next weekend. Absolutely abysmal defending for the past few matches from Sol and Taylor. Taylor only being saved by Campbell looking so past it taking the spot-light.

Shola was injured, that's why Ranger had to come on. I hope people aren't really giving Pardew too much credit for the sub.

That's pretty sound of them like, shame it doesn't happen over here. Yeah it sounded pretty awesome. Apparently they had something like 50 prototypes at the meeting with the board of the supporters group where they talked about what they really wanted in the kit and so on. I think they were trying to get on their good side since Nike is HQd in Portland but everyone in MLS has to use Adidas.

They're professionals and they will go out to win regardless, it's just that fourth and fifth "gear" that will be missing because they don't give a shit anymore and are probably almost as pissed off as we are with the whole scenario.

They'll be playing in a 54-57k seater stadium but between the top and bottom tiers there will be a retractable roof so when the Whitecaps play the place will only seat 20something thousand people but not look massive from the inside but they can easily expand to more when they have big friendlies.
