  1. "when you're starving and someone throws you a cracker"
  2. We've got Krafu and Thiaw can cover RB.
  3. Hope so. One of Ross Wilson's first jobs.
  4. šŸ‘šŸ»I use this it’s great. Simple interface. Does what it says on the tin.
  5. "My conversations with ownership have been extremely positive, and I've also been in regular contact with Eddie Howe and David Hopkinson. The trust, cohesion and alignment we're building already feels strong, and we believe that being united as a team will be so important as we continue to move the club forward together. "I'm excited to work with everyone across the different areas within our football department. There's already excellent work being done here and, from the first team to the women's team and academy, my aim is to build on that, strengthen our structures over time, and work with our staff to create environments where players and staff can continue to thrive." David Hopkinson, Newcastle United's CEO, said: "I am delighted to welcome Ross to Newcastle United. His experience and expertise immediately strengthen us, and his appointment is another important step forward in our journey. "Ross has a track record of delivering strategic change. He has instilled processes and built relationships that have helped his clubs to win and grow, and he has demonstrated his ability to enhance talent pathways and integrate women's football into the same high-performing culture. "We are looking forward to working with him as we build towards our ambitions for long-term sustainable success."
  6. He gave us some shape, and a target man. He did a job for us and we got a good deal on him when sold. Nothing but good thoughts for Wood and glad he’s been banging them in for Forest.
  7. He's a mate of Eddies and he only wants Newcastel!
  8. Michael Owen has been proven wrong on his Alexander Isak Liverpool theory with talks in private over his fitness emerging. The 26-year-old has played just over 300 minutes for his new club and despite picking up a goal and assist, he has looked a little off the pace. It is certainly no surprise that is the case with the chaotic saga over his future resulting in him having no proper pre-season while also missing the first few weeks of the new campaign. Despite that, Owen was of the expectation that he would be able to immediately make an impact after offering his verdict on the switch. "I don't think so [the transfer saga will weigh heavily]," Owen told the Daily Star via BetSelect . "He's obviously got his dream move, one that he will think he was justifiedā€ "I think Isak will hit the ground running. He's in a successful team, a team that is winning games, creating chances. It's not like he's come from a new league. He's used to the Premier League . He knows everything about it. "So there is no reason why, apart from getting to know his new fellow players, there's no real reason why he won't be an immediate success." On Isak's qualities in an already excellent Liverpool team, he added: "He'll have a huge impact. You don't pay Ā£125million for somebody not to have an impact. Who else is out there that's better in that position? "Liverpool have probably got the best goalkeeper in the world . They've probably got the best centre-half in the world. They've probably got the best right-sided attacker in the world. And arguably, they've now got the best centre-forward in the world. "And to have the best you can get in four or five positions in a team, just makes you incredibly strong. And that's what Liverpool have gone and done."
