Krul Anita - Colo - Taylor - Santon Tiote Cabaye - Bigi Ben Arfa Cissé Ba Anita and Santon bombing forward for crosses, while Tiote and Bigi drops back. Bigi's passing skills is enough to push Jonas out for me. This will get laughed at, but Jonas can't play in the middle of the pitch. HBA free role. Alternatively switch Bigi with Simpson, and move Anita into midfield. I'm not sure the crosses will include in this switch though.

Except a 15-20 min spell in the first half, I'd call that a horror show. Ben Arfa was brilliant, Cabaye, Harper, Perch, Santon and Taylor did their job. Ba did his job by scoring, but I thought his general play was below par. Cissé with a nightmare showing, didn't even look interested. Wake the fuck up. Didn't feel like a win. Also one of the slowest games I've watched. Must have been terrible to watch for neutrals. It's 3 points, but nothing more.

The difference between playing in front of 32,000 and playing in front of 4,000 is just as big. I wouldn't think about playing Elliot on Sunday, if he plays I hope he plays well. Of course, but I thought he played well enough to keep his place until Krul returns. Hopefully we wont be focusing on the keeper at all after the Norwich game.

Not spectacular (although some of the saves were class), but miles better than Harper atm. Easy choice. Nar nowt he did was "miles better" than Harper imo. Well, I thought Harper had a pretty shit game vs Everton and looked unfit/out of place. The difference in movement is huge.

Well that was interesting. First half was pathetic. Hard to watch etc. Second half was much better, mainly due to attitude, Ba on and some positional changes. The most noticeable difference was our pressure when defending. Two or three players stressing and closing down the ball carrier is indeed effective. Observations: I've seen people mention Williamson and Perch as Championship players. I agree with the former. Perch is obviously a midfielder. He's excellent at closing down players and his distribution is tidy. The most important detail about him playing there though, is that he's allowing Cabaye to do his job. Which is quite essential to us not being raped (see first half). Harper should retire. So slow. Almost looks like he doesn't care. And his time wasting on goal kicks is infuriating. I haven't seen Elliott that much, but surely he can't be worse than Harper? I'd give him a chance after watching that today. Like an old lady on both goals. Anita is class on RB. Santon is a very good player. I think he's a decent defender and wonderful going forward. Our best player today, alongside Ba. HBA was a magician at times today, although he made some poor decisions on a couple of occasions. Cissé is still quite shit in this campaign. Poor in the air today, and wasteful finishes. Ba was lively and took the one goal really well. Expect more from him vs Norwich. We are obviously unable to play two good halves. Shola. Chest. 2-2 feels good man.

Colo Tiote HBA Krul Cabaye Cissé Santon Ba Anita Jonas Saylor Going with Anita on RB as he's obviously the best we've got at this time for the position. I rate Marveaux higher than Jonas, but he's not likely to start at his expense.

So many amazing things going on in this clip The girl in the bottom right corner. The way she appears out of nowhere and then sneaks away at the end When she notices the camera she pulls out her own version of it's class

Besides a few attempts from Bent, Ireland etc they didn't really cause much trouble. They kept the ball nicely in the team in spells though to be fair to them. The problem is we let them and didn't look bothered. Didn't show up really. They looked much more up for it. Still, pretty awful game with few positives. Bigirimana was fantastic. Excellent throughout imo. Great technique, vision, distribution, tackling, marking, engine. Very pleasing to see. I'd also give mentions to Santon and Anita who looked very good. I'd easily play Anita at RB when Tiote is back. And I'd just as easily replace Jonas with Marveaux or Bigi depending on tactics. And thank f*** for Ben Arfa. Magician. *Insert customary mention of the 4-4-2/4-3-3 farce* International break
