Nah, just poking fun at how Milan are seemingly going about this transfer. Milanista is a very good poster tbf.
-
Maldini doesn’t do auctions. He offers the price he wants to pay and waits for the immense gravitational pull of Milan to bring the player to him. Because that’s how transfers work apparently.
-
The petty side in me hopes that no one else goes in for him and his career nosedives. Nah, wish him luck, really… but not too much luck.
-
He’ll end up at Man Utd, I imagine. They’ll offer higher wages and are obviously the more attractive proposition.
-
Not much chance of this happening if we’re sticking to a rigid wage structure. If we have the money, this is the time to flex.
-
Would be a phenomenal signing for anyone in the PL. Won’t be us, unfortunately.
-
Selling ASM would be a massive own goal for the owners imo. Our only selling-points currently (to next-level players) are that we’re an ambitious outfit and financial heavyweights; having a self-imposed salary cap and then having to sell an important player to raise funds would lead to questions as to how serious we are.
-
Must admit I’m not crazy about this supposed salary cap. It’s probably sensible but it’s not a policy that will win you anything anytime soon.

Here: https://www.teamtalk.com/liverpool/path-sadio-mane-replacement-clears-arnaut-danjuma-concerns-frighten-newcastle-away Not the best source, mind.

Sure I read it a while ago, not sure where.
-
Dunno, I’d prefer him on the left cutting inside. Seems a waste of his goal scoring ability to keep him on the right. Seem to recall we pulled out due to character issues though?
-
Not sure why seemingly no one is going for Ridle Baku. Good age and a hard-working, reasonably speedy, hug the touchline RM/RWB. Wouldn’t cost more than 25m either you’d imagine. Looks tailor-made for a high-pressing PL team (or ias a Conte style wingback).
-
I reckon he’s an upgrade on Dubs in every way (neither are particularly famed for their distribution). Great signing and 10m is highway robbery if true.
-
Guy’s gonna have a face like thunder holding up his Newcastle shirt in his presser. Heard he’ll be taking a red magic marker to ink in the white stripes later.
-
Going for players who are seemingly above your current level usually means overpaying to get them in. Rightly or wrongly, our ownership don’t want to do that.
-
I’d take his stats with a huge pinch of salt. Diaby is doing all of this in a very poor German League; I’ve seen him play a lot and his decision making is usually very poor. Gut instinct says he’s better but not a million miles away from Sarr.
-
Diaby is a decent player but he’s not worth the money they’re asking for. I hope we would also go for a decent cm/dm as well though; I’d personally sooner take Sarr and a good 25-30m cm/cdm (like Fofana, Sangare, Ruiz etc.) over just Diaby for 50+ million tbh.
-
After Pope, Targett, Botman and Ekitike I doubt we’ll have enough budget left for him. I reckon we’ll end up with a winger closer to the 25-30m range (like a Harrison/ Sarr etc.).
-
Doubt it; Woodman is gone and it looks like Darlow is on his way too. We definitely need a goalie.
-
That’s fair. I feel like Broja is more PL- ready at this moment in time though. Ekitike looks a prospect but he looks very raw currently.
-
Honestly I’d rather Broja than Ekitike. If he’s being as dismissive as it’s being made out, then we really do need to move on.
-
Pope for 10m is an absolute no-brainer imo. Not sure why people are underwhelmed .
-
Really assured keeper and a huge upgrade on Dubravka. Kicking is an issue but I can give him the benefit of the doubt as he was playing for a Sean Dyche team.
-
I really like him. Very gifted athletically with his height and speed, also very decent on the ball. Seems like the kind of prospect that could have excelled in any position; currently looks like he could do a job anywhere in the backline.
-
Yeah don’t mind their stuff at all. Decent quality golf clobber; the logo is a charva as hell though.
