If Willock could sort out his passing, he’d be a nailed on starter imo. Currently though he seems like a player more suited to counter-attacking play or as a decent impact sub.
-
I really like him but I think his stock is too high for us currently; also can’t see them accepting any less than 40m for him.
-
Reminds me of Ben Arfa but with less upside.
-
Doucorue is a very decent young talent as well; he’ll end up at Arsenal in a few years for more than double what they paid. They seemingly always do great work in the transfer market.
-
He’s an incredible talent-spotter. They’re a very well-run club and a lot of it is due to him. Never hear his name mentioned either.
-
Not seen him play but you’d imagine he’d be similar to an Ekitike in that he may not be ready to start games but will be in and around the first team picture (depending on injuries and form). More or less playing first team for Salzburg, which is a good sign.
-
Looks like another very astute signing by Palace. Dougie Freedman is such an underrated Sporting Director imo.
-
Awful is a bit much? He’s decent but probably overrated (evidently not on here though) and overpriced. It’s a dud rumour anyway so not much point discussing it really.
-
Agree with the sentiment but it would just be easier to just tell your agent to relax and that you want the move. Wouldn’t imagine it would be a common occurrence for a club to demand you sack your agent in order to complete a deal?
-
I can. If he’s that highly thought of then 25m plus add-ons seems a good deal. Low risk of losing money and a good chance you could almost double that in 3-4 years time; depends how prohibitive his agents demands are though, I suppose.
-
Ditching your agent that easily once you’ve reached the big time is a massive douche move too tbf.
-
As I said earlier, if we finish 8th we’d have done very well imo.
-
Think he means the numbers he’s getting are massively inflated due to the league and not a true reflection of his ability. I subscribe to the same view, personally.
-
Porto fans seem rate him reasonably highly. YouTube makes him look like a poor man’s Sterling (which isn’t a terrible thing).
-
Nice area. Shame about the traffic and weather these days though! If you’re here for a while and need anything, feel to DM me

Ya walad, where you staying in Jeddah?

I’m not sure at all. Villa and West Ham have similar pulling power and seemingly similar profile of transfer targets; similarly strict wage structures have been established with all of us as well. The pull of being the richest club in the world is meaningless if we refuse (or let’s say are limited) to throw the cash about.
-
Ignoring the fact that all PIF projects will have an x-year capital injection plan already laid out, the Saudis can actively advertise itself with these golf tournaments. Rightly or wrongly, they can’t do that with us with all this fair-value sponsorship carry-on.
-
Gouiri would cost close to Raphinha money. I think we’re a season too late here.
-
It would make a difference to this years’ allocated transfer budget though.
-
We’ll do well to finish above 9th imo; competing in a mini-league under “the big 6”, with teams like Villa, West Ham, Wolves and Leicester. Finishing 8th means going above 2 of those and would be a very decent season.
-
Reports suggested a very forgiving payment structure for Ekitike which wouldn’t massively impact this years transfer budget.
-
As a left-footer he’d be decent on the right, cutting in. Lovely strike on him.
-
Harrison would be great; not quite Raphinha levels but I doubt he’s a realistic signing anyway. We do have a budget, people need to stop getting so sensitive when he highlights that. Looks like the Ekitike deal falling through has hurt us slightly, looked liked we’d be getting an FFP- friendly deal with regards to payments. Not sure we’d be able to swing that with other targets.

just have to laugh, really. Criminal stuff.
