Shelvey was keeping Bruno out of the side for long periods last season. He was definitely more than an adequate back-up option.

Was hoping we’d take this CL push more seriously. We needed a cm (arguably 2) before we let Shelvey go. Going into the 2nd half of the season relying on Longstaff as a first teamer and crossing our fingers that no one gets injured isn’t ideal. Happy enough with the Gordon and Ashby deals but we really need a cm addition for this to be considered a successful window tbh.

Yeah. They’re a bit of shambles currently but they’re employing a simple and proven formula for success; give a decent manager a bunch of talented players and it’ll work itself out.

Everton are cheeky fuckers. I like him but, considering their financial situation and Gordon’s recent form, they’re lucky anyone is willing to pay above 30m for the lad. At this point, I hope we walk away from the deal and look elsewhere. They’d be left with a player who doesn’t want to be there and no money to improve their situation.
