I’d be ecstatic with “just” Salisu, Bissouma (if he’s innocent) and Lingard/Alli tbh. Let alone an Lb, another cb and a striker.

Sounds weird but wouldn’t want him as a left-back in a 4, almost prefer Bakker for that role (unless by grace of Allah we sign a very good cdm and then yes please, all day).

He was fine. Gives us a focal point to lump forward to when under pressure and pressed okay. I have no faith in him beating a man when it’s just him vs the opposition defensive line, which is an issue though.

Can understand why Arteta was happy to offload this chap; nigh-on useless in a possession based system. Really need to figure out how to effectively counter-attack in a low-block, as our team just fall apart when defending the lead. Can only really see Willock’s utility in that type of setup tbh.

Watford’s squad is just as unbalanced as ours is and with a worse backline. Completely capitulating after taking the lead time and time again is as much Howe’s fault as it is the players’, arguably more so.

Think that result has damaged us a lot with regards to player recruitment. Before Watford there was an expectation that we could have been out of danger (at least for a week or two). Probably won’t be out of the relegation spaces all season now.
