He’s quite domineering but is a bit of a hot-head; loves a card. Like I said, radginess aside we’d be getting a very physical defender who is good on the ball too. Weird comparison but he’s like if Diego Costa was a class center-back. Worrying though if Vickery doesn’t rate him, as he would obviously have more insight than myself.

I’d love us to sign Diego Carlos, absolute beast and I’m a big fan of talented radgepacket defenders. Not sure he’d want to come though (also don’t believe he’s left-sided but could be wrong).

Reckon he’ll string us along for a while until a better (current) suitor comes calling. If no one matches our bid, a couple of good signings and a win or 2 during the window could do a lot to change his mind. Easy to forget we’re still odds-on to go down right now; can’t blame players for being a bit wary.

Please god, no signings like Ramsay and Umtiti. We’re not a dumping ground for underperforming/finished players on massive contracts.

The need for an lb probably shouldn’t be as high but man, I really want us to nab Digne too.

Doesn’t help that it’s well known that we want to settle our business early. Rich and desperate? We’re ripe for getting absolutely ripped off at this point.

It’s all guesswork in the end, I just think it’s preferable to base guesses on what’s happened in the past. Saying “we need x more points than Watford’ or whatever is a dangerous game too; unlikely as it is, they could go on a monster run and we’re looking at other teams to catch. Points total goals are more reliable imo.

The lowest points total, ever, to stay up has been 34. Years of data back that up, so it’s not outlandish to suggest that that’s (at least) the figure needed.

Easy to forget in all the excitement but honestly winning 8 (or whatever) games from 19- effectively trying to triple our current total- is a tall order. Desperate for us to somehow do it.

Would love Schlotterbeck but think he’s being touted for Bayern isn’t he? Don’t see why he would jump ship to us right now rather than just wait for the inevitable Dortmund or Bayern bid in the summer.

Without trying to sound spoilt, I’d love to see more concrete links to new CMs tbh.

Though he was off to Man Utd? Obviously would be an amazing piece of business for us but seems super unrealistic at this time. Just highlights how important it is that we stay up this year so we can stand a chance at getting players like this in the summer window.

I’d be very worried for our new overlords if we were only finding out now that he’s not for sale after seemingly making him a priority signing. As mentioned though, it’s probably just maneuvering to get the price higher.

If I were to be nice, Ramsay’s passing and decision-making could be an asset to us. Unfortunately with his lack of form and no real physicality to him anymore, Wjnaldum and Gueye would be infinitely better loan moves.

The Watford left side looks wide open; great for us if we manage to get Trippier in on time.

Been really bad for them. Absolutely invisible and rarely fit.
