agree we need a player like that.. any suggestions? i mean i've been suggesting barnes a lot lately. i personally think that he can develop into a great player and already has that blistering pace and is a decent passer of the ball. if we snap him up, i think it'll be a great buy as he can only improve

milner, luque and emre aren't slow but I wouldn't say they have pace exactly.. i mean tbh we have a team full of grafters. where's the pace? the vision? the fancy footwork? (ok the last one is optional) so far we have no midfielders with creativity, despite what everyones been saying i don't rate geremi as high as most of you. looked conspicuously unspectacular against bolton. So you havent seen Emre then. I mean when he played under decent manager in italy.. i have. but he hasn't exactly shown that ability wearing the stripes now has he? ( i'll tell you what though, his goal against reading last season shows that he has the potential to be a class player. i like emre but he tends to ride on the coat-tails of his earlier performances and lacks consistency. i really do hope he becomes the player everyone is touting him to be.

Other clubs' transfer deadline day discussion

great player everytime i've seen him, good awareness, good headerer of the ball and well-rounded imo. he's a big name signing (cant believe not many of you have heard of him) definitely paraguays best player and one that i wouldnt expect at a mediocre team like blackburn (no disrespect to rover supporters). that said though he might not be able to deal with the physicalities of the premiership. -

at the end of the day its beckham and beckham=headlines.

couldn't hate a club anymore. Diabolical how they got away without a points deduction- just because theyr a london club

Someone who agrees with me Just a word on Emre though, think he's a quality player and isn't fat at all. He wears about 50 jumpers under his actually toon shirt in the winter which makes him look fat. Excellant player if we can get him on top of his game. tbh i now think we can have a deadly midfield that can rival any other premiership club, maybe with the exception of Chelsea ....and liverpool...and mayoo... andi'm sure other teams' supporters will disagree vehemently in terms of grit maybe.. in terms of pace n creativity.. we'r nowhere near.

why away? surely it'd be better at home?

yeh and not for anything less than 10 million.. if we'r lucky.. with prices these days he could be be worth up to 15. g. barnes anybody? Might be overpriced now but he's got pace, he's young and in a couple of seasons we'll be laughing. he looks to be shaping into a class player.. methinks its now at 5 mil or next year at 8 mil+ Barnes would be an ideal signing, but will he pass a medical with a fractured metatarsal? didnt stop us in the past.. and besides just means the price will be lower.

title needs changing

like him or not, dyer was our second top scorer last year and has menacing pace to boot. ok so he never did anything with the ball, his shear pace was a factor and on some days (i know i know..) looked decent. although he's a giant waster we need someone with his pace but with more drive, and that actually gives a toss. not sure but which players do you think fit the bill?

doesnt take much intelect to realise that "2" means "to"... and its not meant to be confusing its just a way to type faster... ffs its not as if i'm writing in a f*king code language. &*12YnU@! %^g2'' 12qweas$$ f***'s sake... http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=19167.msg0#new didnt realise there was actually a rule.. someone could of told me earlier instead of saying its irritating.... my fault lads... anyway does anybody know whether he has the pace to cope <desperately trying to change subject> too late, the Mods'll have your card marked now. "oh, there goes McCormick again, f****** troublemaker".....THAT'S what they're saying about you, right now. i no.. have 2 ( ).. i mean.. to watch my step now.

(Just to be clear, I wasn't 'saying you're a t***' - just that I believe text speak is for twats, doesn't do anyone justice. I could understand and even tolerate the need for it when SMS was very limited in terms of screen-size, and when the number of characters per message was at a premium... anyway!) You wouldn't believe how hard i was looking to find a spelling mistake there... just not my day tbh

Tried to watch MLS but i can't stand how.... erm... american it is, not meaning to offend obviously. i mean those lines on the pitch; the american commentators and their bullcrap; the managers who look like Americanfootball coaches; the clipboards.. f*ck the clipboards. couldnt get past all of those to actually assess the quality though, which i hear is pretty bad anyway.
-
wooow beckham, an england international, scored in a desperately low-par league

sry No but seriously its much faster and everyone gets whats being said.. i dont really see the problem Faster? How? And what exactly are you going to do with those extra.......10 seconds on your life? well when you press "2" its one key and "to" is 2 keys. And its always a luxury to have those extra 10 seconds. Fine.. i'll exercise good grammar and spelling , but i won't like it.

i'll sign straight away. good on them.. west ham is definitely the team i hate the most atmo. n its got nothing 2 do with results either.. hope sheffield get every penny
-
i think i get what ur saying (could'v been better phrased.. or maybe i didnt have a gd enough sleep last night) i do believe that ppl are giving him a hard time tho, already doubting his ability, his age, and dissmising him as a squad player before he's even kicked a ball. i say that we give him a chance 2 settle in.. n if hes another bramble-> then u can have a go at him. ppl who r saying he is 'total class' need 2 wait until he's played a bit in the premiership tbh. i dont think its "as bad" as giving him stick tho.. rather be encouraged than doubted
-
bloody hell.. he hasnt even stepped on the pitch yet and some of u r already giving him stick. i get the feeling that these r the same ppl who complained when we wernt signing any defenders. lets get this sorted: 1) hes a defender 2) experienced in champ league 3) captained his club for 5 years i 4 one am not going 2 go out n say that hes going 2 be immense.. im just saying tht, looking at his credentials, it would be wise 4 every1 to wait until the lad's played before dissmissing him.
-
exactly.. why would a player want 2 come 2 a side that is tipped 2 be relegated. i'd make an excuse like that too. probably a misunderstanding.. player x probably said "sunderland is crap" and keano thought he was talking about the place itself... which is also crap
-
TBF, we were gash last season, while we have changed for the better (fingers crossed) Bolton have stood still/gone backwards. yeah but when he said poor he was referring 2 the side that scored the "stupid goals''.. meaning he was talking about our present side.. sour grapes iyam
