  1. Our best first xi is better than Villa’s but they have better squad depth. I do think Spurs have a slightly better first xi and depth than we do, though.
  2. An Eddie Howe coached Onana could be something special. He may not be the technically-gifted midfielder we’re screaming out for but his physicality is unrivaled; would be perfect for Howe-ball.
  3. Nketiah is a mid-table quality striker on 100k a week. Not exactly a good presser and, shockingly, in his mid-twenties now. Even as a back-up option it’d be a strange transfer for us.
  4. One of our most important players. Annoying to lose him for that amount of time.
  5. Beren and his kids to be banned from viewing matches at the stadium as well iirc? (safety smiley )
  6. ESR would be a no-brainer if he wasn’t so injury-prone. Also a right-footer that plays on the left, which we have a few of already. Mbuemo for the rw/back up striker slot would be my realistic pick for the summer. So underrated and suits our play-style.

I reckon he’s starting Hendo , unfortunately. Also think Rashford only has to score 3 goals from now until the end of the season to undeservedly get on the plane.

All right- slow work day - what do you lot reckon Gareth (lager, sometimes cider) will go for then?

Big fan of Chilwell but you can’t rely on him fitness-wise.

Ah really? Fair. Think I’d almost have Trippier on the left over Chilwell though.

I think I’d go for the team Magpie put but: Foden on the left, Bellingham at 10, Shaw at left-back and perhaps controversially I’d have TAA in the middle. Gordon to be used as the supersub when situations call for it.

Foden, Bellingham, Rice, Saka, Stones and Kane should all be absolute non-negotiable starters for England.
  13. Didn’t think we were that bad to be honest. Sloppy in the final third and a bit ponderous at times, sure, but we were up against a well organized Blackburn side who seemingly had their tails up. I do think though that us being sliced apart on transitions is something to be worried about. Meh. We won, so I’ll choose to be happy.
  14. Tempted to quote that to piss off the admins but I don’t want a ban on my squeaky clean record.
  15. Asked a mate about him -lifelong Feyenoord fan- not usually a negative person but he says he’ll never be a premier league quality player fwiw. “Headless chicken. Zero football iq. Won’t make it at Feyenoord let alone the EPL.” Strange take, considering how many minutes he seems to get for them.
  16. Almiron better score tonight, man. Guy has zero footballing iq.
  17. Would be silly to sell Anderson right now while his stock is at its lowest. He’s only an average season away from being worth 15m.
