The funny thing is Elanga would be doing numbers in other less physical leagues on the continent. Great work-rate, lightning speed, good weak foot; i get that many want someone with more technical ability but he’s an Eddie Howe winger through and through. You pay a premium for PL players because you know what they can do in this league. I’m not saying we should shell out 50m but anything less than 40m would be decent business imo.

Not sure why people here hate on Elanga so much. Agree the prices being thrown around for him last summer were a bit mad but he’s a very decent player in the right set up.

I hate Cherki, man. Such a wanker and the complete antithesis to a Howe player. No chance we’re in for him. He’ll be end up being an inconsistent cult favourite for some middle table prem club.

Yep, I didn’t think he had the press-resistance for the role but regardless if he does or not he moves the ball so quickly and efficiently it doesn’t really matter. His athleticism on transition makes him a slightly better fit than Bruno there as well.
