The more I read about this I agree. I think Inter's finances make a deal with them possible, but it seems really unlikely he'd agree to come to the north of England for what would ultimately be a modest raise (if his wages are accurate on various sites).

That would only make sense if we briefed Edwards that Barella was an alternative to Maddison. He says we want both.

They are about as angry as we'd be if there was a report saying Lazio is closing in on Bruno for £40M.

I think they'd hate the idea of one of Italy's best players leaving Inter to join "a small club" in England just like it was impossible to imagine someone choosing that same club over Milan.

Sure, but any game could have nothing to play for. Seems nonsensical to me to purposely avoid matchups between the previous seasons top 6 in the final week(s) because, while they could be meaningless, they could also be the game of the season.

Why would they do that? Big matchups in the final week or two should be the norm.

I just hope we get Liverpool before the CL starts or as one of the last games in the first half of the season. But based on last season we'll play them three days after returning from Azerbaijan with Wilson and Isak both injured.

I do cringe a little at the line being drawn at openly homophobic on social media vs. closeted homophobia or being effectively owned and funded by a country that says it’s illegal to be gay and treats women as second class citizens.
