I'm prepared to be wrong on Havertz and maybe Areteta has some brilliant plan, but I just don't really see how he improves their first XI. What even is their first XI with him and presumably Rice? Is he replacing (or a backup to) Jesus? Is he a backup to Martinelli and Saka? Or do they have a way of starting all of Jesus, Saka, Martinelli, Havertz, and Odegaard?

I'm really curious about where we see him fitting in (6 vs. 8). I do love the idea of Bruno being the 6 on paper but more fluidity between those positions. And then what's the next move? If it's Maddison is he a RW or are we also heading towards a formation change? Do we see Szoboszlai as a like for like with Maddison or are those two different paths in terms of how we'd play? SO MANY QUESTIONS

The headline is weird and my phone almost blew up reading it, but the main point is he has experience with big infrastructure projects. He also has experience working with foreign based leadership, FFP issues with Leicester, and balancing the books for Championship clubs.

This is one of my pet hates on this forum, just behind exotic animal and 'why do people like London?' debates. You can hate the 'here we go' but he wasn't making things up. The info was accurate at the time and coming from the agent / player side. We were getting Pedro and then Isak became an option and we went that way instead.

If I were you I'd be tweeting at Mehrdad, Jamie Reuben, etc. This is a very dumb way to treat someone who was previously paying for one of the most expensive tickets.

Some of these leagues play in the summer, right? But some (or most) play a standard calendar? It's crazy playing some of your biggest games of the season before many teams have even begun preseason.

I don't think the answer to LB is currently in the Premier League. Not a clue who the answer is though.

I don't know why people are bringing up Lewis, but I think it's fair to ask does Robinson really provide enough of a difference on 2022 Targett? (I'm assuming he was just woefully out of form this past season due to injuries) Now that I think about it I haven't seen many mentions of selling him, but not sure why we'd keep Targett around if we brought in a new LB.
