  1. I would have never forgiven Murphy if he messed that up.
  2. It would be spectacular if we qualified for the CL with Forest. Feels slightly more likely after this weekend.
  3. Tomorrow will feel awful if we don’t get three points. All in our hands.
  4. Everyone is forgetting that Emery wakes up every night in a cold sweat thinking about his last three meetings with Eddie.
  5. Pending the rest of the weekend there could be a real gap starting to form for the top 6. We have a real opportunity on Monday.
  6. Wish we were playing Palace next.
  7. This is a key point, but I’m sure they’ll still be able to do it.
  8. If the extent of the PL rules were: Clubs must be solvent and/or have the ability to cover future debts Clubs can spend whatever you want Clubs qualifying for European competition must adhere to UEFA's rules. Club's found in breach of those rules will also be punished by the Premier League in the season it occurs with <X fine> and/or <Y points deduction> Then they would avoid so much hassle, shift most blame / oversight to UEFA, and largely have the same outcome for the puppet masters. The group who would absolutely hate this are the Championship gatekeepers - the likes of Palace, Fulham, Brighton, Brentford.
  9. We're going to have finished ahead of Spurs twice, Man United twice, Liverpool once, and Chelsea at least once in Eddie's three full seasons. We've also won more trophies than half of the big 6 in that time.
  10. Was thinking the same -- that's 7am here and I can't recall that ever happening in the PL in recent memory.
  11. At least three non-league games that are all more important. If they are able to manage all three competitions well from here out then hats off to them.
  12. Brentford winless away from home when trailing at halftime this season. We've been largely terrible in second halves at home. Something's gotta give.
  13. He seemed confused about something (being offside?). Was weird.
  14. He is so good and I'm convinced he's going to start contributing more goals than we've seen so far.
  15. 16 years ago Chelsea and Barcelona played in an infamous and enthralling CL semifinal. Now the two of them compete to see who can bend the rules further.

  17. Stats wise Forest are much more similar to 2022/23 Man United with a better story. The problem for them and their style is the margins are so thin. They've scored first in 77% of their games. When they've conceded first they've won 0.50 points per game (league avg. is 0.73; NUFC at 1.13). They haven't trailed at halftime at home all season. In the five away games they've trailed at halftime they've earned one point.
  18. This could have gone badly so fair play to all involved, and Bunce especially, for making it work.
  19. Hilarious that Inter Miami "qualified as host." Can't see through that one FIFA. The only good news about this is it's going to annoy Liverpool / Man United / Arsenal / Spurs as much as it does us.
  20. "Not the best, ok" It's like he took over an out of shape U11 team. Having to remind professionals to move, to be calm on the ball, to find space is something.
  21. This is the most annoyed I've been about any of the financial imbalance. I guess it's better than a Super League, but completely ridiculous all the same. Chelsea and City are going to walk away with £50m+ without even trying and very likely quite a bit more. @JacobsBen BREAKING: FIFA confirm the Club World Cup winner will receive $125m. - Participation prize pool is $525m. UEFA entrants to receive the most, and a variable fee based on ranking and revenue. Range is $12.81m-$38.19m. Chelsea, Manchester City, Real and Bayern to get top end. - Conmebol clubs will receive circa $15.21m to enter, Concacaf, CAF and AFC ones $9.55m and OFC teams pocket $3.58m. - There is a further $475m for sporting performance. This covers win bonuses for each game/round, which will be the same for every club. The breakdown of finances is based on sporting performance is: Group Stage: $2.0m per win and $1m per draw. 22. We are now winners…
