Interesting to see they avoid the elephant in the room of FFP like... They skirt around it plenty and say all the outcomes but don't actively say "FFP might force them to sell" which is moreso the reality imo.

Like anyone else who isn't willing to open their minds and join an ambitious club, in an incredibly friendly, football loving city, he can get fucked if he thinks we need to scramble around for him and he can sit and be a benchwarmer at Chelsea instead. If folk don't want us then we don't want them.

He just likes water propelling vessels mate.

Always thought the lead singer was a Geordie and the band were Smoggies for Maximo Park.

Exactly. Even then they could maybe once claim they'd won a trophy more recent than us and now that's not true either.

They just clutch at straws because Sunderland is inferior to varying degrees across various metrics. They didn't have a metro system until we extended it there. They have a shitter beer. They have a smaller stadium in a shitter location. Albeit they get more concerts there because of the low roof in the underpass of the Milburn and Leazes end. The term "Mackem" was even a derogatory joke about their accent that they've now made it their own versus Geordie which has some actual historical reference. Newcastle is a thriving city by comparison to Sunderland and a lot of them even come to Newcastle for nights out and/or shop either here or in the Metro Centre - where no doubt they claim isn't Newcastle but is Gateshead. They literally have car manufacturing which is better than Newcastle but by there own Mackematics that's Washington not Sunderland despite having a SR postcode. It's alreet - I'm not gonna go down that path - they can claim it and have it. The football clubs themselves aren't that far apart historically - probably one of the more closely measured metrics. Both clubs have had similar successes over history but even then who can recall their nights versus Barcelona, PSG or winning a European Cup in the Fairs Cup. Even in this area we have won more. Their recent history of success is defined by them as the whole '6 in a row' despite not playing us for like 8 years in the league because of their own demise. Didn't they fail to beat us at home for like 20 years or some shit? Literally no one outside of the region will give a shit or know about that 6 in a row malarkey. Even the fewtureheads are shitter than Fender. Who else have they had? Brian Johnson (Geordie) was the lead singer for one of the most renowned Rock and Roll bands in the world and likewise Sting is renowned across the planet to albeit a lesser level. Even our more laughable celebs in the world of music with PJ and Duncan are two of the most famous tv presenters in the UK. Above all else they obsess about us. We are their permanent measure of success and to be better than Newcastle is their only desire. Personally, I couldn't give a shit about them. I rarely see SMB on Newcastle flags and see FTM on virtually everything associated to Sunderland. "Happy fathers day, brother David FTM"

    Sean Longstaff

Aye he did seem to lower his level / be super rusty like when he played less frequently.

Have to remember we have CL football next year too. Longstaff will likely be utilised in the cups and against lesser sides, etc.

    Paul Mitchell

So glad we backed Mitchell and got rid of Howe back in December...
  10. Aye and again that's understandable, but (based on my speculation - which I get it's speculation) why act like a dick into he first instance... I personally cannot imagine losing my shit that much that I'd do that, but then we're all built differently. Either way it'll be a man slaughter charge or similar it'd seem as it doesn't appear to be terrorism or attempted murder. Suspect the bloke smashing the window might get an equally hefty charge too..
  11. I doubt his car was attacked for no apparent reason just sitting with the engine running. I mean it's pure speculation but we've all seen it before - driver drives through crowd too quickly, folk kick off, driver kicks off, people hit the car, that's where it should pretty much stop. The fact he then reverses at the bloke fairly slowly is perhaps the extent of my understanding but quite rightly the bloke shits himself and goes back at him. Smashing the back window in wasn't rational but done in the heat of the moment, and the dude panics - I get that. What I don't get is how any amount of rationale would then make you drove into hundreds of other innocent bystanders, including women and kids. I get the debate is whether he had rationale but even so what level of panic makes you do that... It's all really sad and tragic though tbh. Hopefully, no one died, but wither way there's gonna be plenty lives ruined by what should have been a joyous occasion. Makes you feel even more grateful for how well ours was managed and observed.
  12. I mean you can probably imagine what it may have been and I'll leave you to speculate
  13. Similar to the schools one from Wembley, aye. It's from an event we did at the RVI with some sick kids where they could design their own cup win related flag. We put a combination of them all together, digitised them and put them on a 3-poler. There'll probably be some social media content on it in the coming days.
  14. You can, aye, just a mental situation though tbh. I still cannot really justify him driving into other innocent folk. It never should have escalated to that.
  15. Aye. TBH like I question folk driving around that area at that time like. Surely it's obvious there's a match on. Same with this one today, surely it's obvious there's a parade.
  16. Aye. Pretty fucking mental thing to do like irrespective of whether there's been an altercation about them driving through prior. If that's what has caused it then person who smashed the window could be in a whole lot of shit now.
  17. Howay man - so now everyone blaming the Liverpool fans and Muslims Ridiculous.
  18. I'm sorry like but you don't panic and drive into crowds of women and kids, surely.
  19. It's the fact they speed up again after the initial collision and turn back into more people for me.
  20. Looks entirely deliberate to me.
  21. Absolutely fucking shit that like. Total coward. Hope he gets absolutely fucking battered.
  22. Murphy had a terrible game yesterday but then so did several others. The front 3 were essentially irrelevant for us. Murphy has been one of the best wingers in the country this season and as soon as he has one bad game everyone rewrites history that he's only had 4 or 5 good games and he's having a purple patch and we desperately need to improve and all that other nonsense. Yet we have an England international who's done less than him this season and shows none of the same attitude and everyone kisses his arse in the desperate hope he stops moping aboot.
