I'll ask the group, might be a decent shout at some point but have a feeling this may be taken down the more formal route of the trust.
  2. We've done that twice now. Never really done it justice. We did it once with Pope and the back 4 and also on the 125 display we had that banner
  3. I'd like to think the fans will be up for that fixture irrespective of what flag display is done that day too
  4. One of the key pushes will be towards another scarf day, to make this somewhat of a 'cup' thing in the first instance. As to what else is done, that's under discussion at present as we also plan around 2 or 3 other upcoming games and notable dates.

We did a back 5 one not too long back because tbh it's the whole defensive unit that needed celebrating. I think after Liverpool (h) and hopefully a cup final some more individual stuff might come about though.
  6. From what I experienced (personally), there are metal fixtures acting as gateway to the end itself. They divide the fans into 3 sections, upper left, lower and upper right as you entered the back of the stand. You journey up the stairs at the back of the building to access the upper tier and enter a long, fairly narrow, but acceptable concourse where you can enter into the stand itself. However, the concourse is somewhat dated, bur no more than expected for a stadium of such age and less recent development. As for the lower tier, a best mate and his cousin, as I understand it, took his cousins son (aged 7) into the lower tier. Where, to my knowledge, all fans pass through a tunnel into a similarly designed lower concourse. However, as the tunnel enters the concourse there is an exit into the stand directly opposite, so naturally all fans enter the seating area without funneling outwards prior to entering the inside of the stadium, and hence an element of congestion there. There was then sheeting over seats that were actually to be utilised by fans so to prevent them entering the playing area, thus adding to the congestion, and fans other than my mate et al grew concerned for the bairn (and others) as a result of overcrowding in the central area. For me, the stadium could arguably work with better crowd management and control, but let's face it, most clubs hire minimum-wage staff with (more than likely) zero understanding of the stadium or crowd control. You'd like to think this wouldn't be the case at this stadium in particular given the stigma that's attached due to those horrendous events. However, it is seemingly not. For me, there's a 'victim' mentality from their fans because of the Hillsborough findings and because of Liverpools persistence to overcome a lazy and false narrative. There are obviously arguments for fans being wiser to the situation, but let's face it, herd mentality also tends to over rule and people become sheep without a shepherd or sheep dog. Those at the club and those governing the crowd should know this and do more to counter act it, especially given the 96...

Absolutely. We obviously watch to see what they're doing, as we do with all clubs doing similar displays, but aside from that I'm not really arsed about them. It's laughable the shit they come out with. They're supporting their team, their own fans should back them and help them. Just crack on with it instead of obsessing about us.

    Will mention it...
  9. Starting to look very real this. Man City to beat Spurs tomorrow hopefully and then even if we get a point at Palace it won't be owt too bad. Mind, we're due a decision against these after that calamity at SJP.

Will ask Thomas whose leading this with the club and will try to remember to feedback
  13. Not at all. I enjoy HBA and I enjoy ASM, they're exciting to watch. They just aren't what we need or what will get us to where we want to be. Entirely uncessary saying I'm a miserable twat simply because I don't agree on his contributions too.
  14. Appreciate it, football is a game of opinions though and in my opinion, ASM doesn't do enough for us. He absolutely will win us the occasional game, which is why he's still part of the squad but I think we can upgrade on him easier than a lot of others based on this season.
  15. Totally different team though then, Maxi has played his part, he is a talented dribbler, one of the most talented I've ever seen, but he isn't what we now need. Or certainly isn't enough to be a starter, especially if he doesn't graft.
  16. Players at Manchester City all graft, every single one of them, same with Liverpool, same with Arsenal. Maxi doesn't. Of course every one ha dflair players but they do the basics and they do the dirty work as well. I personally don't give a fuck about winning the entertaining way, I want us to win, I want us to be the best, once we've won 12 cups I'll worry about the entertaining piece. I'd spin that question back to you. How can you have stuck around if you want to just watch entertaining football? We've been far from entertaining for many of the 28 years I've been following them. I am absolutely enjoying every moment of this. That doesn't mean I cannot have a negative opinion on a player, just as everyone seemingly does about Longstaff. Players like ASM have some sort of higher worship on this forum. Same for HBA. Absolutely exciting Players, can do magical things, but if they do it 1 in 10 when we're needing all hands to the pump, that's not enough overall for me.
  17. No. I don't but there were numerous occasions where ASM was still and the game passed him by. I expect yo him to work like every other squad player works, and he doesn't. He doesn't score and assist often enough, so we cannot afford his laziness is my point.

    Kieran Trippier

Think people have been overcritical of his crossing recently whilst it hasn't been pinpoint. Great again defensively today. Undoubtedly my favourite ever NUFC full back in my lifetime

    Need a song and/or flag.
  20. Furthermore, if Maxi isn't scoring or assisting what is he doing to benefit us other than dragging an extra 1 or 2 players spare?
  21. He didn't do owt, that's why he's being attacked. It's the lack of effort. The "all about me" showmanship. Obviously they're not like for like positions but my point is SL gets a lot more stick yet it's totally unjust. One is playing to his maximum and the other isn't.
  22. Fair. But I'd also expect more assists, successful dribbles, assists and/or goals. Maxi' provides little of these too as stats suggest *according to fotmob* 12/14 successful passes 0/4 successful dribbles 1/1 successful tackles 0 goals 0 assists 0/1 shots on target Not the stand out player people are alluding to. Unless your levels are low.
