That's my point - standard Brit abroad behaviour I'd love if a player or manager went abroad, learned the language, got into the culture etc. Instead of flying sausage and mash out on a chartered flight and speaking with a weird, Dutch accent (McClaren). More a general viewpoint than one aimed at ol' shithead shola. I'm sure lots of players probably do that when they come here too. Simply because our food is shit. It's got nowt to do with the Brit' thing. I can see why you feel that way like, but he's not alone and it isn't just 'us'.

TBF I'm sure lots of players do this sort of thing. Any excuse made to knock the fella as usual...

I think it's great that the revolution is gathering a bit of pace again. The only thing that is bothering me is where this stops? Do we just accept that the problem is fixed when Pardew is replaced? Because like fuck should we. Ashley is the cancer destroying this club. Pardew is just one of the symptoms.

When it's a completely fresh start to the season I cannot understand why any supporter would want their own team to get dicked. Newcastle will win this 2-1 and get beat 2-0 at Villa next week. #ForeverTheOptimist

I am in contact with The Flagman in Morpeth and he has advised me that if I get the size and design to him by Thursday he can complete it for the Manchester City game. I need to decide on the size - I was thinking something that fills up a significant part of the Gallowgate / East Stand so it looks huge and we can roll it out at big games. Anyone got any ideas how big it would need to be? 20m x 20m? Larger?

Been one of our best players in Germany.

Yeah, that's really going to change everything Aye, fair point. I'm sick of us dicking around with formations though, where as soon as one players out it won't work. 1 up front will never work with someone like Perez up front. Not if you don't give the 3 behind a chance to get up with him. In order for this, the defence needs to be solid, and it's weak as f***ing p*ss. Based on this first half, here, we have SFA. Let's see how this pans out... #GuaranteedWin

As bad as it sounds, Willo is absolutely vital to our defence And that says it all about the state of us. You're very negative, aren't you? Nope, I just know Garbage when I see it and when our best centre half has the footballing ability of a disabled child I'm disturbed. It just seems all your posts about the Toon are negative.

Steve Clarke sounds like Mrs Doubtfire.

He is just a cool chap isn't he, like Cabaye.

Not really fair on the kids for him to blame them like. Our more senior players were fucking woeful.
-
You're right, he didn't. Said German TV makes his bum look big.

Loved that 1 on 1 there. Was willing the cunt to miss.
-
Just because I like him doesn't mean he is a great player. Chill.

I know it's a bit early for a match thread, but I thought discussion could be had about the whole support doing something for the lads who have all sadly lost their lives over the summer. Admittedly, I don't know what happened with Jon, but to pass away at such an early age I assume it must have been relatively extreme circumstances. As for John Alder and Liam Sweeney, we all know what happened there and are deeply saddened by all of those who lost their lives on MH17. Without trying to sound too blasé about the above, I think now it may be the time to collectively do something positive in terms of supporting the team - in their memory. We've all seen the fund-raising attempts, floral tributes and flags here and there - I think we need to collectively agree to push an idea for the Manchester City game too though. One idea someone on here mentioned was to get everyone to wear a suit jacket and possibly shirt for the first game, as per John Alder's usual attire. Which I think is a cracking idea. I think it would be good to maybe get everyone to take scarves too and wave them on the 17th minute. I think it would be great if we could ask for the club to maybe do a card display or something too - it wouldn't cost them a great deal and would be good PR for them. For me I think it is important that we as fans show what this means to the club. Sir Bobby laid it down in writing what football is all about and these lads were fine examples of that. This club is the noise, it is the passion, it is the feeling of belonging, and we should show the pride in our city. For those who have been clambering up the steps for years and for the next generation who come out of that access and fall in love. So, top and bottom of it - anyone got any other ideas that we can push through social media and / or the club? Ideas so far: - Suit jacket and shirt - Scarves - Card display - ?
