When people are so obsessed with someone allegedly being a "shit" (or "great" for that matter) footballer that they fail to see or acknowledge the times when they do the opposite. For example, people give Sammy shit loads of stick because of his link with Shola and the fact he too is very inconsistent. However, even when he beat two or three people (and did well to) then lost the ball today people just said he was shit. Whereas, if that had have been someone like Ben Arfa and they didn't get passed the first man everyone would think how great the defender was.

Every win is for the sake of the club. The problem is they're too few and far between for us as fans of a decent sized club. That's to the detriment, not the actual wins. Hating Pardew is just easier because it's a more obvious and easy thing to target. We all dislike Ashley but we cannot hate him because the clubs (and his) finances are all smoke and mirrors. Whereas Pardews stats are all there to see, as SackPardew have proved.

I am entertained by the real talented ball-players but as a fan I like the hearty, mediocre lads who give it what they have got in all positions. Just love to see passion and fight. Albeit it doesn't always win you games, but when it does it feels extra special. Getting a mix of the two and winning trophies would be immense. Such a shame Keegan and Sir Bob didn't quite make it.
