When did Nolan have such top drawer players as Nolberto Solano, Gary Speed and Laurent Robert around him though at Bolton? Nolan fits into our team and is a massive contributory factor to our success, Dyer was nothing other than a piece of our puzzle. As previously mentioned, small pacey players scare the shit out of other teams, that was the one solitary reason he was any good. He was a fucking headless chicken who could unlock defenses as a result of Speed sitting deep, Shearer being a target man and Solano and Robert being phenomenal passers of the ball. Even then he scored and assisted less than what Nolan probably has in this single season. The fact of the matter is, both Central Midfielders 'fitted' into their roles within the two midfield units. Teams work as teams because the players are cohesive and can work with one another, one players weaknesses is their colleagues strength. Dyer was thick as fuck but pacey as owt, that's why next to Nolberto Solano, he thrived because Nobby was the brains and the architect of Dyers movement, as were the likes of Speed and Robert. Nolan is slow as fuck but he has Tiote, Barton and Jonas to do it for him. All I know is, that Nolan contributes far more to the overall club, and not just the team, compared to an arrogant little butt-fuck who did nowt but get us the wrong headlines, for both on and off field actions.

I'm astounded by the support for Dyer/hatred towards Nolan like. Dyer was so overrated it was unbelievable. Could have had Linford Christie there and he'd do the same job.

Neither of you have understood my post, maybe I should have made it clearer. Obviously Dyer was here before 2 or 3 years ago, I'm not that f***ing stupid. What I'm getting at, is he is/was the following: a) Injury prone b) A headless chicken c) Overpaid d) Heartless e) Careless Just to put him in contrast to Nolan - Dyer was a good athlete, who most oftenly looked great because of the players around him, not because of his own footballing ability. Dyer was a great athlete, could run all day, and run fast at that. Being a CB myself I know pace scares taller, slower players. Dyer never is/was a great footballer he was a good athlete. I wonder how many goals Dyer scored for us and in how many games (this not being part of my point it's a genuine question). Furthermore, Nolan too is great because of the players around him, but the difference is that he actually influences the play around him through his leadership, passion and drive. He plays whenever possible, wherever possible, and is probably paid half what Dyer was. Both midfield's (that they both played in) as a unit work, yet both have their own weaknesses, and to be honest a mixture of the two would surely see a phenomenal midfield. Difference is, Dyer disrupts the team, and it's morale, whereas Nolan's massively benefits and considering that, and goals for an AM I'd say Nolan therefore lies far ahead of some little s*** like Dyer. This coming from a Nolan fan/Dyer critic mind.

I didn't know what had happened at first. It hit me with the force of a stone flung hard, but there was none of the weight of a stone, or any noise or feel of one dropping to the ground or clattering away after impact. It was only when I reached the pub on the corner and looked at my reflection in the toilet mirror, seeing this small airgun-pellet sized mark near the corner of my eye, that I realized what must have happened. As for the other incident, I was but a lad, alone, and the guys with the airgun were bigger than me. I ran for it. Never thought of going to the police or anything. Street trouble was common. Some crazy shit that tbw.

It should, to a certain degree. Kevin Nolan is in form, and how many times have we seen the likes of Lampard be substituted recently for England, and the likes of Rooney, etc and our mentality changes as a team. The new or young ones come on and give it a right go, instead of being egotistical little cuntbags. The England team needs more Nolans and less Lampards for me, you only have to look at what we (Newcastle) have achieved from being a good, dedicated, passionate unit and not 11 bell-ends with a massive wage. Lampard is better than Nolan, but Nolan is in better form, and as a result should be considered equally as much for friendlies, especially.
