My God some of the journalism is woeful.

Get into them.

Radge isn't it. Kinda not even taking it in at the minute just like ah aye were just casually competing in the pinnacle if club football...

Get a draw in Milan and 2 wins from our next 2 leagues games and suddenly things are looking very rosey again. Not impossible.
-
Getting a steady flow of images and messages of lads experiencing the joys of Milan today and that will only intensify. Really wish I was out there given Tanita's family live there etc. Would have been belter. Genuinely think we can get a result too. Hoping for a win, would be content with a draw but so long as we show we're of this level and capable playing at this level that's the main thing. A narrow defeat wouldn't be any real great shake. Hoping at home we do all 3 with 'hell for leather' intensity. We are capable.

I'm playing. I'm waiting for the other 10 to pay so I can continue tradition

Haven't seen the second one yet like but seemed harsh to me if it was given from in the ground. But I used to play CB so perhaps there's a defensive bias there...

He bought the pen. Your taught to get your body between the defender and the ball and he did that. Stupid decision from the keeper, clever plylay from Gordon and in anyway not a pen for me. But our goal also should have stood. That aside Gordon is arguably our player of the season thus far.

Scraped by. Massive win.

I am actually going to go further. I appreciate and understand his limitations, but Dan Burn for me is actually a very, very good defender (based purely on defensive attributes) his one flaw is his lack of pace but more often than not he makes up for this in his reading of the game. He's a massive cog in our machine for me, alongside Trippier and Botman. It speaks volumes that he's part of the leadership team and when you see some of the 'off the ball' stuff today you see more than just the lanky, try-hard, local lad. He's an intelligent and talented defender and a Geordie to boot.

Very valid. Points win prizes.

Outstanding handling of the penalty situation and a precise and unstoppable finish. Massive moment in our season that will prove to be.

Exactomundo. I think people are underestimating how strong a 4th placed PL team can be. The names of the CL are dazzling people and actually you don't have to be Roberto Carlos at LB to be a good LB. You are a defender primarily. Dan Burn defends us sufficiently by and large.
-
But also arguably saved our win with a last ditch tackle around 80ish minutes. No Dan Burn bashing here. Cheers.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

It was coming quick that got you in the predicament. -
Got to get a win today. Won't be as easy as folk think but just need to come out fired up and intense and get a good early goal. The longer the game goes today without us scoring the more frustration will set in, expectancy is already significantly higher it seems.
