  1. You're either on the train or taking an all night bus getting you in at 6am...
  2. As others have helped me i'll gladly reciprocate: 1) no real cheap options. £100 rail fare. Bus might be available and worth checking, but would take a LONG time 2) Premier Inn quayside is a great location, £70 a night (for twin room, so £35 each if you don't mind sharing) 3) I'd avoid 1892 / any of the corporate seats. More expensive and any time i've been there i get told off for swearing / being too loud(!). From what the guys were saying earlier, Level 7 SJH has a good atmos and there was 1 block with a load of tickets still available. 4) I've just ordered tickets and would imagine it will be box office pick up. I'm sure credit card should suffice.
  3. I've stuck with Premier Inn Quayside, my standard venue for football and family funerals. Great location and relatively cheap. Good luck with the drive!
  4. Hahaha, Kent is a fucking trek, i'd bother IanW before I moved on to Lenny! Nah, I've placed ads on gumtree to try and blag some cheap train tickets otherwise i'll just have to suck it up. Car journey to Newcastle doesn't really appeal either. If anyone is getting the train up Fri night and fancies someone to drink with on the other hand, let me know!
  5. Good work. I've just booked tickets and hotel also (which hotel you go for?) and am desperately trying to find a cheap solution to travel from London. I cannot be fucked with bus, I don't want to drive and train journey is fucking extortionate. I also hate flying... Looks like it's going to be extortionate train journey!
  6. If you can be arsed with the stairs I keep hearing the the L7 corner has been brilliant recently. Cheers - where the away fans used to be situated?
  7. Right, fuck it, i'm coming up for this, first home game i've been to since Keegan came back against Bolton so could do with a bit of advice - where's the best place to stick myself if i want to scream and sing for 90 mins? (Preferably in the ground for any wise guys out there!).
  8. If we win and Sunderland don't i'm pretty confident we're safe. Can't see Sunderland getting anything against Chelsea.
  9. If anyone is driving up from London on Friday night / Saturday morning and fancies an additonal passenger and petrol money let me know asap and i'll happily oblige. Can't afford train ticket, hotel and ticket for match, so looking to skank a lift then can afford the rest. Ta.

    Fulham

    Maybe Puttersmith or Hamney

    Fulham

Technically, Craven Cottage is in Hammersmith / Putney more than Fulham

    Fulham

Live about 500 yards from the ground, can only hear noise when they score (except the game when they hammered manchester, atmosphere was actually pretty decent). I often imagine what it would be like to live as close to SJP on a night like last night... Think the house would be shaking!
  13. You aren't by any chance driving up from London and fancy a companion and some petrol money?!
  14. I have not got a clue what the fuck is going to happen tonight. Something in the back of my head keeps saying we're going to lose but then beat Fulham and Villa to survive. Would rather not go down that route though. Team i'd put out: Harper Beye - Taylor - Bassong - Enrique (if in any way fit) / Duff Geremi - Butt - Guthrie - Jonas Owen - Viduka Going on the proviso that Martins isn't fit, in which case i'd have Geremi solely to whip in free kicks for Owen.
  15. We have to get 3 points to get out the relegation zone, West Brom will get beat by Liverpool, our goal difference should mean that if we get those 3 points and WBA lose to Liverpool, what they do on last day of season shouldn't matter
  16. Mackems half time, reminds me of us against Blackburn earlier in the season, we hammered them 0-0 in the first half and we all know how that ended
  17. We've got another 4 games to go, we're one win from being out of the relegation zone, shut the fuck up and leave the finger-pointing until after the end of the season. Whilst it's still mathematically possible we've got to support the team and hope against hope we are still in touching distance when Boro come to St James'. Hull and Boro have pretty tough next fixtures too, after which us and Boro have 3 games we could conceivably get something from, Hull have two. We are level with Boro and 3 points behind Hull. Lets worry about that.
  18. Agree with this to a degree. Just cos your mum is in remission. Our mum is Jade Goody and things look shit
  19. "there are 8 games to go for Newcastle to cement their name in the top 4". Have to be a pretty fucking stellar eight games
  20. I stormed off to the toilet and came running out, pissing all down my own leg, as i heard the telly erupt... Never been so pleased to piss all over myself
  21. Yet his shooting has been terrible. Not just the pen, either. He's had a few other chances and either fallen over or missed the target. I don't disagree... he has been lively. But towards the end of the game, as he tires, it will have to be Martins that comes off if Owen's coming on. Think that's a bit harsh, he's headed one off the back off Sagnas head wide and dragged a ball that was behind him just wide when under intense pressure, not exactly sitters he's missed.
  22. I can't believe people are suggesting we take Martins off for Owen. Fuck it, he missed a penalty in a pretty dire fashion (although, for those saying 'worst penalty ever', etc. obviously didn't watch even the Roma Arse shoot out, had the keeper gone the other way we wouldn't be having this convo) but his hold up and link play has been fucking brilliant, he's won headers, played passes and generally chased and looked alive to the cause. Lets wait and see what happens when the inevitable change takes place
  23. That is the best and worst piece of defending in close succession i have possibly ever seen. Whatever people say about Taylor, he's been fucking epic today
