  1. Pathetic today. Absolutely pathetic.
  2. The decision to bring Shola on for Gouffran at half time is the equivalent of gross misconduct in any other work place.
  3. Stinker today from him. Shame after all the good work he'd done recently.
  4. There's a tiny little greasy spoon type place just over the road from Central Station on Grainger Street, open very early. It's nowt special, but if you just want a fry up... Edit: Open from 7am. http://hotnitsa.typepad.com/blog/2011/11/the-townhouse-grainger-street-newcastle-.html Ah yea think I know it - they also sell tinnies as well don't they?! It's either that or the Cafe Royal, going by the Newcastle Restaurants thread. Don't think Cafe Royal is quite the right vibe for a pre-derby day feed.
  5. Can anyone recommend a good place to have a full English in the city centre that isn't also a pub? Usually go to the Butterfly Cabinet in Heaton, but service can be a bit slow and it doesn't open until 10.
  6. Agree, he has done reasonably well. Would be happy for him to stay as back-up RB but a) I'd be surprised if he was keen (and can't really blame him for that) and b) not sure our management staff would be so keen - they'd rather have the likes of Perch and Anita who can cover a few positions.
  7. Indeed, shame as it just looks like we might have the personnel available to give it a good go as well.
  8. Wish I was carrying that amount of weight! It's relative, mate. You carry yours so well, too. I know it's relative - was just saying.
  9. Wish I was carrying that amount of weight!
  10. Genuinely? He said catergorically that Marveaux will be starting on Sunday? I am bit surprised as that is a game i could see him getting squeezed out of. Can you give a link to the quote please? Sure I read it in some of the post match comments. Could be on twitter, on here, or another website. You can start looking, if you want? I've already read it once, don't need to again. I've looked, can't see owt. Might be on twitter, i'm not on that. Said on the nufctv interview that Marveaux isn't good playing Thursday and Sunday which is why he had a limited role last night, kind of indicates more a role on Sunday. Cheers! Yes, it does. Funnily enough, i think he might be better coming on as a sub on Sunday when they start to knacker. Guess we'll see though. The way I interpreted his NUFCtv interview suggested he will almost certainly start. 'He's not good Thursday/Sunday, but he will be fine for Sunday' or something on those lines.
  11. Just watched NUFCtv interview with Pards. Said Hatem played all he could tonight and that it would be the same for him on Sunday. Marv needed protecting as he isn't good Thurs/Sun, but he will start Sunday. Haidara was excellent and will start on Sunday. Guess that means it could be one of Jonas/Gouffran, unless he plays Jonas centrally.
  12. Difficult one because he doesn't really deserve to miss out on Sunday. Problem is the options are wide instead of Gouffran/Marv, in the middle instead of maybe Tiote or LB ahead of Haidara - arguably he shouldn't start ahead of any of those.
  13. Was just coming on to say the same thing. Makes selection on Sunday interesting. Haidara or Jonas at LB? Jonas was arguably MOM against Fulham so would be difficult to leave him out against the Mackems, but if he doesn't play full-back then he is going to end up taking the place of someone like Marveaux or Gouffran which I wouldn't like to see.
  14. Much as id love him to, I dont think Hatem is anywhere near starting yet. He's just said on French tv that his legs felt dead after a few runs hasn't he? Marv and Gouffran either side of Cisse with Tiote, Cabaye and Moussa will do me.
  15. Pretty sure it will still be televised and be a lunchtime kick off on the Sunday if need be.
  16. At least we will have Gouffran, Debuchy, Tiote and Taylor fresh.
  17. Out for the season which is a real shame, but he has looked jaded in recent weeks. A rest will do him good.
  18. Would be a real lift if he could play some part this week.
  19. Was spraying it about early doors, but drifted out of it little. Thought at one point one of him or the Greek in midfield for Fulham were going to get sent off - they were kicking/mouthing off at each other.
  20. Thought he was lively today. Much rather he stayed on than the predictable long ball to Shola.
  21. His toys went out of the pram as he was pretty much the only one interested in scoring a goal today for them.
  22. He's still a waste of a shirt though.
  23. Was excellent today. I've been a critic of his this season, but am glad to be proven wrong.
