He wasn't suggesting that Flamini would come to Newcastle. He was saying that if Flamini left Arsenal then it may be more difficult to get Diaby because he may start to get a game much more often for Arsenal. Ah my mistake.

Crouch or Ashton would be a good buy imo, solid and proven replacements for Viduka who I rate but I think he's off in the summer. I don't see Diaby as a DMC tbh and Flamini will either stay with Arse or go abroad - no chance of him coming to us. Someone in the mold of Muamba would be perfect - young enough to learn from Butt and, imo, is a decent prospect and player. Bentley's close to signing a new contract with Blackburn so I guess that writes him off but I'd fancy Lennon for £8 mill if he's available in the summer - he carries a much bigger threat with his that pace of his, something we need in the squad for next season even more so should Zog leave.

Personally no but we'll stick with it to the end of the season. If what the papers say is true, we're looking for wingers who need width and just don't feature in a 3 striker 4-3-3 like we're playing at the moment so it looks like we're going back to a wider formation on that basis.

I don't think anyone's debating that; the need for another left back is because Enrique is our only proven and natural player there and so we're in a spot of s*** if he gets injured, suspended or whatever. either a youngster who wouldn't expect first team games straight off or an experienced pro (maybe centre half come left back) who knows he's part of a squad. Yep, which is why I'm unsure on signing Shorey or Bridge as they'll be wanting to play ahead of Enrique rather than occasionally swapping in for him. Would be a shame if that happened as I feel Enrique has alot going for him and would be wasted in the reserves. Someone similar to that Gunter guy that Spuds signed would fit the bill nicely.

Even if he is a greedy prick, he's still one of my favourite players and I think he still has a big future for the Toon. Plus that and the fact its a tenner down the drain for getting his name on my shirt :-[
