Trying to talk my dad into taking me up to the Valencia game but will be difficult getting up to SJP and back in good time and tickets'll probably be in high demand. Fingers crossed though.

Sessegnon scored though in that match - surely that warrants some praise?

Martins record for who? He's got 20 in 64 for us, which I personally think is pretty poor for a player who's there to score goals. Martins has 27 in 66, which is reasonably close to 1 in 2* - closer than any other striker that we've had in recent years (other than Shearer). At a guess i'd say that nine/ten of those games he'll have been playing on the wing, too. More of which will have been playing with Antoine Sibierski. *41% strike rate if we're going down the statistics route to judge players Not bad also considering these are his first 2 seasons in the prem.

Us or Spurs in 2 season's time. Mind when Wenger, Fergie and Abramovich all leave, the big four could change altogether depending on what happens after.

No actual quotes from Dunne mind so I'm still a touch dubious tbh.

He wouldn't have made any appearances this season if he were still years away, surely? Similar comment towards Thespence's post too. Yes but who was picking him? Pearson picked him for two games, the rest have been with Keegan in charge. Can remember him coming on against Stoke under Allardyce, which games has he been picked for Keegan? He came on against Bolton too iirc but this was with a pretty bare side with ANC and injures going on so I dunno how this shows his squad prospects.

Was probably talking about Les.

Am wondering if our away kit will take on this template. Quite nice imo.
-
Was speaking to an Arsenal fan earlier who saw him play in the Emirates Cup last year and rates him highly - good on the deck, fast, skillful and can pick a pass. Would be well worth a punt imo, especially if he's said he wants to come.
-
Good player but with a shocking injury record. Would rather go for Anelka if Chelsea are selling.
-
Too low profile for Mourinho and he wouldn't get on with Shinawatra at all.

Whatever happened to........... (forgotten expensive footballers)

Zog sounded like he played well - hope he stays

Muamba, Larsson, maybe Barnes and Kitson.

Only seen the score, not too surprised. How did we play - seems we fielded a bit of a dodgy team?
-
Christ almighty, Eustace off. How was that a red card?

They've always had s*** support due to a lot of people around here supporting London teams. Or Newcastle.

With Viduka out I also think Keegan will go with 4-4-2 for Everton; I don't however think it will give us a indercation regards his formation plans for next season though. Most likely Alan Smith, Damien Duff and N'Zogbia will get there starts. Harper Beye Taylor Faye Enrique Geremi Smith Duff N'Zogbia Owen Martins Subs: Carrol, Lua Lua, Butt Caçapa, Forster Can't see Butt being on the bench tbh.

He's 23 and comes from Benin

I think they should make the Champions' League what it says on the tin - only Europe's league champs should be entered into your standard cup format as you suggested imo. It just seems stupid to have teams like Arsenal finishing 4th then reaching the final of the so-called cup of champions. Would even out the playing field more financially too. i think that'd be f****** retarded myself, and you'd have to invite all the leagues in europe, so teams in macedonia get places in the cl ahead of the manu's and arsenals. it'd turn into the club world championship, where there's 1-2 teams (in this case 4-5) that can win it, and the rest all get thrased 8-0. same goes for the 5 points on that list the thread starter made on page 1. If the champs of Macedonia won their league and Man Utd didn't then so be it, at least in this case it does the name of the competition some bloody justice. It's a format that's worked in the past and so as it reduces the amount of income the top 4 receive, it also benefits the competitiveness of the Premiership.
