this is all just too depressing to comprehend

Sigh Followed the NY Knicks forever. When Dolan let Donnie Walsh walk away I swore I'd never watch them play until Dolan was gone. Same goes for Ashley and NUFC.

What's up with Jaffa Cakes these days. Has the UK gone off them? They're constantly on sale. I got a triple pack in Tesco the other day for £1.25. Last night I picked up a double pack in ASDA for 50P. I can't get enough of the stuff. I can easily eat 18 Jaffa Cakes with my morning cuppa. Is you Mike Ashley? Jaffa Cakes are England's best creation -- there are two Brit stores near where I live that sell imported stuff, and Jaffa Cakes are either constantly sold out or on back order. Get yourself to ASDA. Fill a suitcase with 50P Jaffa Cakes. ? ? ? ? Profit. You'd have to pay for re-packaging. Would probably lose money. Unless you sell them at a car-boot sale, just in the cellophane packing. Or do the question marks suggest you shoplift the Jaffas? If so it doesn't matter where you go. There'd be no need to re-package. You'd sell them by the box load, door to door to those waiting for the store to be restocked. How much is a box going for these days DJ_NUFC? I know you'd have to factor in petrol but you're still looking at a hefty profit. Nah. At best you'd cover the cost of your own consumption. don't get high on your own supply

It's almost as if Rafa will be the barometer to judge the deal...if he fucks off, it's likely dead. If he lingers its moving forward, albeit slowly.

No other consortii (?) have approached me to make a new consortium if that is any help. And for the record, I am serious but...uh...skint as you say.

Been choking my chicken over this deal since late Sunday.

No, they just have no idea what's happening. They’ve been like that since the dawn of time and it never stopped them posting shit before. Agreed. They must’ve had hundreds of requests for comment today and not one of them has made mention of anything. Just seems odd tis all. Not beyond the realms of possibility that they’ve agreed to embargo themselves in exchange for access to a big story. If all is silent tomorrow too we know something is up If tomorrow is silent how would it be any different from the last 30 days He's talking about silence of journalists. silence of the lambs, more like...

which direction was it flying?

Look for a cheaper Laxalternative

IIRC, he had to put 135M into the club as an interest free loan when he first acquired the club. That was to cover all the liabilities he missed when he supposedly did his due diligence. That money he is getting back as part of the sell price. He floated the club an additional 30M which was taken out of the club more recently.

No. BZG are buying the whole damn pie. Apart from the prestige of owning a club for their partners, it’s a way to advertise their international services on one of the biggest platforms in the world. Which is also the reason when they buy the club l, they will invest so it can compete. I like what your selling.

Maybe Ashley is still going to retain a share of the club? It might not be an outright sale. MA remains a minority owner, gets to use SJP as an advertising vehicle and gets an in to the Middle East. Is that possible?

Would happily accept a Mexican Tacover. It would be a chili day in hell if the Mexicans get it done in time

I'd bet we were in for a cheeky 10M

The fact that any outlets are tighter than a duck's ass is either a really good sign or a really bad sign (I know, duh). And while I was positive last week, that hope is flagging mostly because of my distrust of anything Ashley.

R Kelly has hacked your account. Surviving The Fakeover, now streaming on Netflix. Fakeover til I Die complete season on Netflix

I thought Ashley had always (as long as he talked about selling) valued the club at 350. IIRC, he based it off his purchase price plus the interest free loan he immediately put into the club to clear up the debt he discovered after purchase. And, maybe I'm whistling past the cemetery but this doesn't feel like the other fakeovers, which were used to bullshit everyone.

Just an opinion but based on info posted I think this deal is much closer to happening than either Stavely or Kenyon. There have been improvements at the academy level and talk of streamlining our loan system to accentuate player growth. Those are infrastructure moves and would not have been done unless an owner wants to take the club forward. Further, the action on Companies House is more than just "tidying up". BZG feels they have the assets in place to make the purchase. The ball is in Ashley's court and I do think he's motivated to sell. I think a majority of hand wringing is due to Rafa's status. We love the man. If he were still under contract we'd be more patient.

they can have the same grandparent and not be a blood relative

I think he's staying now. New Owner and Rafa staying...Christmas comes early.

He's got a ghost of a chance of getting anything right
