No doubt, but Ben Arfa barely speaks a word of English and I doubt that they will understand each other that well and be able to develop a great understanding during just a couple of weeks. And I'm agreeing with you about Jonas, I'd sell him if we got decent money in, but don't change something right now. We're on track to finish top half and challenging for that Europa League qualifier spot, why change it now? Rubbish. Jose had the easiest afternoon of his career against Everton with Ben Arfa down the left because Ben Arfa was busy murdering Everton every time he touched the ball. Again, remember that it was also way to easy as they had no threat on their right flank. But again play Tottenham with Lennon - Hutton, Man Utd with Rafael - Nani, Arsenal with Walcott - Sagna and it will be much harder. Trust me I'd love to see Ben Arfa and Jose working together, and while i believe he'd be more effective (might be wrong) centrally behind the striker theres no doubt that if they clicked they'd be the deadliest left flank in the Premier League. It might be one of those cases then where we build the team to adapt to what Ben Arfa does, ala Ginola. Because if shows the kind of form he did against Everton then we'll murder teams, especially at home. In the case of Jonas, he links up well with Jose obviously, but remember Opta posting on twitter that he's only completed 15% of his crosses this season, which is fucking dire. He's very strong on the ball, quick and a decent passer. I'd be half tempted to experiment with him in the hole behind the front man next pre-season just to see if he could play there.

Gyan isn't good enough to lead the line by himself. The Muntari signing helps their truly desperate midfield, which has been well and truly dicked by ours on two occasions. Sessegnon, meh, heard he's quite quick, don't know much else.

At least a point is required. Harper Simpson Willo Colo Enrique Barton Guthrie Nolan Jonas Ranger Best Reckon Shola could do with a rest.

Villa Leaves us 8 points clear of Wigan with a game in hand.

Not considering they'll probably have to play Barca. http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/images/photos/000/945/367/98730079.jpg.29134_crop_340x234.jpg?1272531314 http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/04/28/article-1269604-09593019000005DC-379_468x346.jpg

Feel a bit sorry for Simpson, didn't see Harper and Colo shouting at him the first time. He needs to learn though, cannot under any circumstances allow someone to cut onto their stronger foot like that. In the interest of fairness, Enrique made the exact same error against City for Adam Johnson's winner.

Walcott Just shoot there you fanny.

He's the player we miss most at the minute. We'd have closed both the last two games with him in the middle.

Really do hate the January window like.

I've just been reading a thread on that RTG place. Which Sunderland forum is the most mature, because that one seems to be the one that all the 11 year olds gravitate to. They seem to think that being 6th in January makes them some sort of Barcelona in waiting. We've *finished* top six 9 times in the 18 years since the PL started, and in half of those seasons, Sunderland weren't even in the top flight. I'm almost tempted to register there to point that out. I know of no other Sunderland forum but I'm sure there are many. RTG is continuous source of comedy, but I think with being outplayed by us twice and the sale of their best player, they are taking their 'bump back down to earth' from their lofty heights pretty hard

Just seen the Bruce comments regarding this, how embarrassing and very immature.

Fucking Depor couldn't even beat Almeria. Shitbags.

Ireland would be a decent move for both parties, we're short of CMs, Tiote gets banned every now and then and Barton has established himself on the right. He's a fairly good footballer at PL level but has landed himself in bad situations where there are rumours of unstable dressing rooms. It could be a good change of scenery for him and the good team spirit between our tight knit 'group of lads' could help get the best out of him. He already knows Joey and will probably get along well with Nolan, Carroll and the like. If this is actually true, then its a good move and certainly one I'd support more than a move for SWP.

Out for another 2 to 3 weeks according to Pardew.
