Looked decent going forward. Its hard to really enthuse about him, knowing he's only here as a short term stopgap. Nothing to say we won't try and sign him in the future though. Not quite sure whether he will be part of their plans either. Having him and Jose in the squad would please me no end. Having said that its only 1 game.
-
He was. Can't believe the low ratings he's got from some people on here.
-
Better player with him out there. Ranger Lovenkrands Not fucking rocket science.
-
Fucking Wigan man.
-
Harper 6 - Not much to do outside of the save from Fryatt. Taylor 6 - Fairly good game I thought, solid defensively, offered more going forward towards the end. Coloccini 6 - Solid. Quiet game. Williamson 7 - Fryatt skinned him once but that was his only bad moment. Calm and in control for the rest. Van Aanholt 8 - Was criticising him early, then he went and played fucking awesome for the rest of it. Man of the Match for us. Routledge 6 - Love how fast he is, caused them problems late on. Will be key when we're more positive at home. Smith 4 - Poor, meant to be our organiser. Did nothing apart from that chance. Butt 4 - Very poor, shouldn't start. Guthrie 5 - Worst game for us in a while, poor delivery, looked asleep half the time. Nolan 5 - Carried for most of it. Keeper did enough to stop him burying that header. Carroll 6 - Won everything, still poor in front of goal for me. Subs Ranger 7 - Needs to be given a chance, with Lovenkrands up top, made us look 10x better. Pancrate 6 - People slag him off but he ran at people and looked dangerous and it was a good move by Hughton to bring him on. We were poor for most of the first half, but had we been more clinical in front of goal we would have won it late. Fair play to them they probably deserved a point. We really need to sign moses and give Ranger a chance. Barton coming back may make a difference as well hopefully.

Not that pissed off with the line up. Jonas obviously has a knock. Physical team, plenty of options on the bench. Routledge and Guthrie should provide good service for Nolan and Carroll. -

Typical away line-up. -
Nice well grinded out win sounds like Pancrate had a good game and Williamson and Routledge had good debuts. Smiles all round, roll on Saturday.
-
Guthrie has been our best player by far in the past few games.
-
Am I being an idiot... Danny Simpson, Routledge... who else? Are we assuming Williamson is a done deal? Williamson is pretty much a done deal.

he's a better bet than throwing someone like Donaldson in at right back, i rate the lad, he's a promising young player, still learning, better going forward than defending and although its a big jump from youth/reserve football to the first team i'd have no hesitation throwing him in on Wednesday. Will we be able to play Williamson, he can't possibly be match fit, hasn't played for pompey and if the southern reserve league is anything like the northern one he won't have played any competitive football since early/mid December. Good, I'm all for giving young lads a chance if they are up to it. Williamson is able to play if it gets confirmed today, I wouldn't play him though can't imagine he'll be match fit. More experience for Kadar. -
Maybe we can move Guthrie into the middle now Routledge Guthrie Smith/Nolan Jonas In this league

Having a canny day, this just made it 10 times better

Tavernier any good like? -
Harewood will be next I reckon. Him and a couple of others on loan.
-
Saw it on SSN, they have it on in the newsroom at Uni, very distracting.
-
For once I agree with Ronaldo. Pleased we've signed him.
-
i'd bet if we got creativity we wouldn't cry for pace. True, but it wouf be a bonus even with creativity, scares the shit out of defenders. Only ones who come close to doing that are Lovenkrands and Jonas, when he runs at people looking like he may have a pop, of course he never does.
-
Pace, creativity and an established striker is what we lack.
-
Cracking game, we were poor tbh, but being behind twice I'll take it. Harper 7 - Some cracking saves, very unlucky on the 2nd goal Simpson 7 - Actually thought he did ok handling Thomas, kept the play in front of him and did ok matching him for pace. Taylor 8 - Best defender tonight, solid and kept his head. Enrique 7 - Most of the time, good, his distribution however, was pretty poor tonight. Guthrie 7 - Extra mark for the cracking free kick, apart from that he was only ok. Smith 5 - Poor, went missing tonight. Nolan 5 - Same as Smith, needs to play in behind the front two to be effective for me. Jonas 6 - Electric pace, nice link up with Enrique as usual but really needs to put in a final ball more often. Ameobi 5 - Didn't do a lot tonight, no real link up play and wasn't physical enough imo. Lovenkrands 7 - Was never offside when through on goal, worst decision of the night bar the not given pen late on. Cracking header for the goal though. was really happy for him, one of our biggest threats and is on a run of form, needs to start up top always for me. Subs Carroll 5 - Physical, no direction, how he didn't win a penalty when he was just decked by Olsson I'll never know. R.Taylor 5 - Nothing special apart from the almost winner from the free kick.
-
Was gonna go up for the Forest game with a Forest supporting mate, that plan has gone out the window now.
-
Well done to Lovenkrands
