  1. They have Sammy at about 7/1 and Shola at 12s, probably a mistake but I'd get on that before they realise!
  2. BetFred are offering a whopping 12/1 on Shola FGS and the same on LGS. Get your free bets on!
  3. Off to the bookies in a bit. Will likely back Shola LGS and a few weekend accies.
  4. Excellent news. Fingers crossed on Krul and Taylor.
  5. I remember Rose played as a forward on loan at Watford a while ago, mainly because GG was gan mental that he'd scored more own goals than actual goals or something.
  6. What happened to Rose was terrible but he deserves nothing but 90+ minutes of derision (however not racism) from our travelling fans - he's wearing red and white. The Mackems are about as racist as they come, hilarious that they feel the need to get on their soapbox about this.
  7. Shola 1-0 @ 40/1 Sunderland HT / Draw FT @ 14/1 These are my two picks. You can also get a generous 4/1 for 'Shola to score Newcastle's first goal'.

    Kick It Out

Agree with Roberts on this one, and fair play if he thinks not enough is done. I watched the Clarke Carlisle documentary on BBC3 a while back too and John Barnes' comments about being sacked from Tranmere because he was black were incredibly irritating and frankly stupid. He won like 3 in 14 games or something and was sacked. Didn't the players refer to him and McAteer as 'Dumb and Dumber' too? He's a piss-poor manager whether he's black, white, yellow or fucking purple. I think it's going to get to the point where someone will actually die of a racially motivated attack, whether it's a player or a fan, before they start to take things seriously.

    Yohan Cabaye retires

I do, because last season I can recall at least 3 or 4 occasions he put a corner into the side netting. I swear pretty much every time Jonas has taken an outside-footed corner we've scored from it. He's only done it like 4 or 5 times ever though.

    Alan Pardew

West Ham and Newcastle are both clubs where supposedly most of the fans like to see 'proper' football i.e. largely played on the deck.

Aye, but you've got to assume he's late all the time. If someone who is usually early/on-time is late then you can kind of allow it as a one-off/occasional occurrence if it doesn't happen very often or is for a good reason. As someone else said he lives really close to the training ground too
  15. The post-match after the U21 game was utterly disgraceful but I couldn't help but laugh at the random sight of former shit timid Southampton manager Steve Wigley losing his silly haircut in anger next to the tunnel. Serbia want punishing heavily. Ince is completely right about it, they need the book thrown at them. Fully expect a £5,000 fine or summat though. I think a ban from the next lot of qualifiers and a large number of games in front of no fans should do it.
  16. Defoe FGS @ 11/2 Both Rooney and Lewandowski to score anytime @ 15/2 Both teams to score in both halves @ 22/1 These are the ones I've gone for.
  17. Alnwick's still only a young-un, Harper will probably be away at the end of the season and we need someone to provide competition for Krul and also Elliot in the sub goalie slot. Makes sense.

Surely this is the perfect excuse to bundle him into the dole queue?
  19. I was thinking of that exact Punt and Dennis sketch that Fugazi posted up when I made the initial comment the other day.
  20. South Park Their star player:
  21. Would take Hooper, provided we don't pay an absolutely mental fee for him.

I'm working in the evening so I'm going to have to watch this one sober. Going to be really grim. The 180-odd minutes of the season that make up the derbies are absolute agony and it's far easier to sit through them hammered. I still reckon a tetchy, nervous, awful score draw.
