    Sunderland...

Not even if it was 4 in the centre vs 2.
  2. I'd like to think Harper would be offered a coaching role if he fancied it, like.

    Sunderland...

Bruce's kite, by the way. In that respect, the mackems do have a fair bit of width about them. And depth.

    Sunderland...

Sunderland were absolutely disgusting to watch tonight. Awful. Loved the Brucie No #1 tactic too: two target men on, play one wide right in place of best crosser. Classic.
  5. Nolan's goals will be replaced by the goals that Cabaye will create (and score), I guess that's the idea anyway.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Wearside posts varied tripe, and it's usually tripe somewhat vaguely relating to the discussion/thread. No comparison.

    Sunderland...

That works two ways though, I could count on one hand how many posters on here have gave Sunderland credit for signing very good players like O'Shea and Brown, I'm not bothered what anyone says those two are very decent footballers and all you get on here is people mocking them, refusing to admit that they are decent. The general consensus on here is actually that O'Shea is a pretty good addition, and that Brown is a good defender with a terrible injury record. The mocking about Brown is rather that Bruce is a fucking mug for signing him up for four years with his injury record/wages/whatever and the fact he'll be pushing 35 when his contract expires.

    Sunderland...

This is the thing with most the mackems I know - I'm generally happy, amongst the piss-taking and ribbing of each others clubs, to admit when Sunderland get a good result or make a good signing. The Sunderland fans simply refuse to do this, everything that goes on at NUFC is moved around in their funny warped minds to be some sort of injustice or negative. One fan I spoke to after the opening day of the season (having seen both teams play) argued that a draw at Anfield was a brilliant result from a brilliant performance and yet a draw at home to Arsenal was a shit result from a shit/lucky NUFC performance. So yes - I'd have O'Shea, or Brown when fit, to play right-back instead of Danny Simpson. Having said that, I'd also play the bottle of Morrisons fizzy water on my desk at present ahead of Simpson.
  9. About this time-ish last season when he replaced Perch he looked very good. He's got worse instead of better. Complacency, perhaps?

    Sunderland...

I'd have about 75% of posters off here at right-back ahead of Simpson tbf like.

Whether people think we've had easy fixtures or not, going into October unbeaten is very impressive either way imo.

get in. The 'pard' jokes are the best thing about this place at the minute. Shits on the memes.

    Leon Best

He's quite an athletic and energetic player, which is what I like about him most right now. He seems so optimistic and obviously believes he'll win every header etc, which is class.

    Alan Pardew

Geremi was a weird one like. He had a reputation for taking mint free-kicks - they were by and large shit. The only one he scored was because of Fatty Robinson's pathetic attempt at placing a wall.
  15. I'll never forget the 5-1 hattrick and some of the other vital goals he scored for us; his leadership was brilliant too, and he should never have to buy a drink in Newcastle again. But - we're playing better without him.
  16. The 'new style' that Pardy was on about was a bit evident against Fulham and Villa, but today it's been very noticeable. Superb.
